August 23, 2012 Tucson Media Outlets Re: Rathbun Realty To the Tucson Media: Our Office represents a trusted former employee of Rathbun Realty who has been repeatedly and falsely slandered and accused of embezzlement by the current owners of Rathbun Realty. We are confident that investigation will prove the allegations false, and that they have been made to coverup financial misconduct and wild spending by the Glovers, the owners of Rathbun Realty. Investigators need to carefully inspect source documents, and actual bank records (rather than those created by the Glovers). It is believed that employees will paint a picture of the Glovers astonishing spending over the past five years, including a 70k Cadillac, a 60k trip to the Panama Canal, two rental properties bought and remodeled in cash, 45k for basketball and football tickets, 24k/ year pledge to the university, a commercial office building bought for 325k in cash, not to mention over 247k in television advertising last year alone. They take salaries of over 100k each year. By blaming others, the company and its principals are attempting to divert attention from their own financial dealings. Bette Glover has had issues involving her real estate license for trust account discrepancies in the past. Her real estate license was revoked in Real Estate Department file no. 06F-LI-068. Despite representing Rathbun Realty on her TV ads, Bette Glover is not even listed as an employee of the company on George Glovers license.

A business appraisal done less than a month ago revealed to the Glover's that Rathbun Realty is worth NEGATIVE $298,000.00. In addition, this organization was recently tagged with a substantial judgment ($112,000) due to unethical and improper behavior and theft in the Pima county Superior Court in a suit brought by an individual named Roy Warden roywarden@hotmail.com. See Warden v. Dugan, et al., Superior Court case number C20095747. Rathbun has also claimed that it was the Warden case that put them on the edge of bankruptcy. In order to avoid the consequences of the judgment, a new business was formed, Rathbun Property Management, Inc. Effective June 22, 2012. See Public Records in the Arizona Department of Real Estate. In so doing, Rathbun is hiding assets and deposits, and diverting funds from the previous accounts. Bette Glover has continued to take an active role in the business (listing herself as President of the company), and it is believe that she has been practicing real estate without a license. See Corporation Commission Public Records. The company has a D- rating with the Tucson Better Business Bureau. In addition, Bette Rathbun, Rathbun Realty, Rathbun Realty Inc., and Bette Rathbun-Glover have been defendants in 65 Pima County Justice Court actions. On Monday afternoon (August 20, 2012) five long time employees left the company rather than be a part of attempts to falsely substantiate the Rathbun claims. Now Rathbun is making false statements to all of the media in town to mask their financial troubles, and by slandering an innocent individual. The media, before doing any fact checking, or research presented the story to the public. There is no basis for these fabricated claims. When the Glovers and Rathbun Realty source documents, including actual historical bank statements, personal and business credit card and credit line accounts are audited completely, the truth will be known to TPD, the FBI, and the Arizona Department of Real Estate, and the public.
