REGISTRATION FORMS:
Registration forms will be available at: http://www.scribd.com/doc/103761495 Without filling up the registration form, participation is void. Download the registration form, and email us after filling it up appropriately.

ENTRY FEES:
Rs 60: To take part only in 1 genre. Rs 100: To take part in 2 genres. Rs 120: To take part in all the 3 genres.

PHOTO SUBMISSIONS:
1. You can submit maximum 3 photographs in each genre & each photo must be accompanied by a distinct caption not exceeding 20 characters. 2. Submit your entries online at turninglens@yahoo.com or glyph2012@gmail.com 3. For offline submissions please contact with the event co-ordinators. 4. Contestants should fill up the registration form to take part before submission of their entries. 5. We do not accept more than one contestant per e-mail address.

PHOTO CRITERION:

You should be the sole proprietor of the photographs and your entry must not breach any copyright law and/or must not be defamatory in nature. Any kind of Photoshop retouching or software generated photographs will not be accepted. Only cropping, bright and contrast can be adjusted both for color or BW photographs. The photo must be either a digital photograph or a high-quality scan. Do not include your name in the picture (i.e. in the frame or in the picture itself) or in the caption or title for the image. Please be fair ! KTLPS can ask for the original files in case of doubt concerning manipulation.

DIGITAL CRITERIA:

Submitted photos must be of minimum 1024*768 resolutions. Each submitted file size must not exceed 10 MB. (compression is allowed) Submitted soft copies of your photos must be of *.JPEG/.JPG/.BMP/.TIFF format.

Original files (camera jpeg (not interpolated) or camera RAW if available) of top 30 photographs as well as the winning photographs are need to be sent to KTLPS to display in the exhibition.

JUDGING CRITERIA:
1. All nominations will be judged by eminent professional appointed by KOLKATA TURNING LENS on the basis of creativity, quality and impact. The best two entries from each genre will be rewarded with a certificate and cash prize. 2. Any sort of plagiarism or anyone found breaking the rules will lead to disqualification. 3. Decision of the judge will be final and binding. 4. WINNERS AND RUNNERS-UP will be notified by email, telephone or address submitted at registration and top 30 photos will be displayed on the day of inauguration.

PRIZES: (For each category)

First Prize: Rs. 1,000 Second Prize: Rs. 500
Top best 30 nominations as per judges choice will be exhibited on the day of inauguration (23rd September, 2012). These photos will be printed and framed by KTLPS.

**Selected photographs will be displayed on the day of the inauguration in the exhibition.

HOW TO PARTCIPATE:
1. Participants have to fill up the registration form first. 2. In the registration form the captions & descriptions of the submitted images (via mail) should be mentioned properly. 3. Each photo must follow the format: <Category name>_<Your Name>_<Caption of your photo> E.g. If you want to take part in Monochrome category, and your name is Ajay, and the caption of one of the photo is: The solitude. Then you have to rename your photo as: Monochrome_Ajay_The solitude and mail us. 4. The registration form should be sent at turninglens@yahoo.com after the payment procedure in case of Money order/DD/Money transfer/through envelope. In case of hand-to-hand cash/cheque payment, the registration form and images should be sent first.

A. RULES: The Photography Contest is governed by these rules, terms, and conditions (the Official Rules). By participating in the Photography Contest, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding. KTLPS reserves the right to change these rules or cancel the Photography Contest at any time, at its sole discretion. B. PARTICIPATION: Contest participants must be at least 13 years of age at the time of entry. Entries must be made in accordance with the instructions on this page. C. SUBMITTED IMAGES: By participating in the Photography Contest, you expressly agree not to submit any images that are unlawful, defamatory, or invasive of another persons right of privacy or right of publicity. KTLPS shall not be liable in any way for such images. Any image that, in the sole discretion of KTLPS, is considered inappropriate or unsuitable for publication will be deemed ineligible by KTLPS. KTLPS will not return any submitted images. By participating in the Photography Contest, you hereby grant KTLPS a nonexclusive, non-revocable license to edit, publish, use, adapt, modify, and license to others any image you submit. D. YOUR INFORMATION: The information submitted by you during the registration process includes your name and e-mail address (Personal Information) and will be used by KTLPS only in accordance with KTLPS privacy policy for the purpose of administrating your participation in the Photography Contest and for communication about other KTLPS events and programs. E. WINNER SELECTION PROCESS: Photography Contest winners will be determined by the judge or a panel of judges appointed by KTLPS. The submitted images will be judged to the extent to which they meet the theme of the Photography Contest. In addition, entries will be judged on quality of image and originality. F. PRIZES: Winners will be awarded by cash money on 23rd September, 2012 on the day of inauguration. If a participant changes his/her e-mail address or telephone number after entering into the Photography Contest, it is his/her sole responsibility to notify KTLPS by e-mail to turninglens@yahoo.com. If a prize is unclaimed within 60 days of notification, KTLPS reserves the right to cancel the prize without notifying the winner. G. NAMES OF WINNERS: Winners consent that their names may be published in KTLPS future publications.

H. USE OF THE PHOTOS: By participating in the Photography Contest, the candidates agree to the publishing of their photos in KTLPS future publications. I. Rules and prize money are subject to change; do stay in touch for updates.
