First-aid measures General information: Take the affected workers out of the danger area and lie them down. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. After inhalation: If the worker loses consciousness, move him/her into the recovery position and seek medical advice. Supply fresh air to the area. After skin contact: Wash off immediately with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor. After eye contact: Rinse immediately with copious amounts of water, including underneath the eyelids. Seek medical advice immediately. After swallowing: Rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures Suitable extinguishing agents: Use fire-fighting measures and sprinklers that suit the environment. The product itself is not flammable. Particular fire-fighting dangers: Hydrogen is produced in reactions with metals, increasing the risk of an explosion. Decomposes when heated. Phosphorus oxide vapours are poisonous when inhaled. Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of a fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing. Other information: Use water spray to cool sealed containers close to source of fire. Collect contaminated fire-fighting water separately. Must not enter drains or sewers.

Accidental release measures Person-related safety precautions: Use personal protection equipment. Avoid skin and eye contact. Do not inhale gas/smoke/vapour/aerosol. See section 8 for information about personal protective equipment. Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or surface water. If surface water or the drains are polluted, inform the relevant authorities. Avoid water ingress underground. If contaminated water enters the ground, inform the relevant authorities. Measures for cleaning/collecting: Ensure adequate ventilation. This product and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Add alkalis, lime or ammonia to neutralise acidic waste. Use inert absorbent material.
