Indian Composites Industry

As per industry statistics, today the total demand for composite products in India is more than INR 15,000 Crore (USD 3000 Million). In 2011, the Indian composites industry recorded a growth of 15.6% and because of its good GDP rate, Indian economy managed to float in the global economic breakdown. Indian composites industry is driven by demand from domestic consumers like government, civic bodies, PSUs and NGOs. International players have also been investing in this rising market. A strong demand in the pipes, tanks, wind energy, transportation, aerospace, defence and construction have been seen.

The debut event for composites and new materials industry India Composites Show 2012 (ICS 2012) is scheduled to be held from 1-3 November 2012 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. This focused trade show will capture the strong growth shown by the composites business in India and would create ample opportunities for professionals from composites industry to come together with user segment. India Composites Summit will also be organised on 1-2 November 2012. The two day conference would feature interesting sessions, panel discussions, and would bring together thought leaders representing composites industry.
