RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.
The Applicant agrees to abide and comply with all the terms and conditions contained
herein and also to read and comply with the Rules and Regulations as prescribed by the
Academy of Martial arts (herein after referred to as the Academy).
2.
The Applicant agrees to comply with the instructions and directions as prescribed and
specified by the Academy and not to indulge in any act direct or indirect whatsoever
express or implied which is in contravention of these Rules and Regulations.
3.
The Applicant shall obtain a certification of fitness from a qualified medical practitioner,
and states at his own risk that the Applicant is of sound health and does not suffer from
any illness which is likely to be harmful either to the Applicant or the other members of
the Academy during the tenure of his membership. The Applicant agrees that any health
problem caused to the Applicant whilst being a member of the Academy shall be at the
Applicant's sole risk and liability and the Academy and it's Instructors shall not be held
responsible or liable in this regard in any manner whatsoever.
4. The Applicant shall, at all times while in the Dojo, wear only the uniform as specified by
the Academy. The Applicant shall not wear any jewelery or other articles such as rings,
watch, hard objects, threads, ribbons etc. likely to cause or be the cause of injury whilst
in the Dojo.
5. The Applicant shall regularly pay the applicable membership, training and grading fees to
the Academy. The Applicant will not be allowed to train if the applicable fees are not
paid.
6. The Applicant shall be graded every four months for grades 9
th
kyu to 6
th
kyu. The
Applicant shall be graded every six months for grades 5
th
kyu to 1
st
kyu.
7. The grade examinations are subject to the Applicant maintaining a minimum attendance
of 90% and acquiring the required level of fitness and competence in the art.
8. The Applicant shall be declared successful strictly on merit. Merely fulfilling attendance
criteria does not imply that the Applicant will be successful. If an Applicant is
unsuccessful he / she maybe asked to reappear for the grading examination after a
minimum period of 30 days. If the Applicant fails to clear a grade exam he / she will have
to repeat the requisite training and will have to pay the full fees applicable.
9. On being granted membership, the Applicant shall have the right to represent
themselves as members of the Academy, wear the insignia as provided by the Academy
and participate in events organised by the Academy.
10. None of the above shall be construed as a right to commercially exploit the name and
goodwill of the Academy or to impart training, instructions or demonstrations,
commercially or otherwise in the art of Goju Ryu without the explicit written permission of
Shihan Pervez B. Mistry. The Academy shall demand compensation from members
violating this clause in letter or spirit.
11. All disputes shall be subject to Mumbai Jurisdiction.
