1. a) Explain the significance of CMRR in differential amplifier. For a differential


amplifier, two sets of input signals are applied as follows.
First set ν1 = 50µv and ν2 = -50µv.
Second set ν1 = 1050µv and ν2 = 950µv of CMRR is 100, calculate the percentage
difference in output voltage obtained for the two sets of input signals. Repeat the
same if CMRR is 10,000.
b) Discuss the operation of emitter coupled differential amplifier.

2. With neat circuit diagrams, explain switching mode voltage regulator and
monolithic voltage regulators (fixed and variable).
