1. Write the SI units of measurements for the following items :

(a) Distempering
(b) Varnishing
(c) Polishing of woodwork
(d) Glazing
(e) Laying pipeline
(f) Easing doors and windows
(g) Lining of irrigation channel
(h) Bituminous road surfacing.

2. Prepare the rate analysis for the above given.

(a) Calculate the rate analysis for I - class brick work is superstructure with 1:3
lime surchi mortar - unit 1 cum.
(b) prepare rate analysis for Half brick wall ( 10 cm - thick partition wall) with
1:3 cement mortar - unit 1 Sqm.

3. Write down the detailed specifications of Lime concrete in foundation.

4. Find out the quantities of the following items of a residential building having two
rooms, kitchen, passage and verandah from the given plan and sections shown in
figure 4d by longwall and shortwall method.

(a) 12mm cement plastering 1:6 outside upto plinth level.


(b) Earthwork in plinth filling.
(c) Brick work in foundation and superstructure
(d) CM(1:2) in DPC
