SECTION C [10 marks] [Time suggested: 20 minutes] Read the text below and complete the following task. Examination can be stressful for most students today. It is part of a students life. Some students will succeed excellently but some may just pass. There are tips on how to do well in examinations. It is vital for all students to be consistent in studying. Students must revise what they have learnt to remember what they have studied. This will prevent them from forgetting and losing important details. Students should study in a conducive environment. They should choose a place which is quiet and peaceful that will enable them to concentrate better. It is advisable to stay away from things that distract them such as computers, tablets, i-Pads or even television. Next, many excellent students have cited that they join a study group to obtain and maintain good grades. This is a forum where they can share knowledge, exchange ideas and seek for help from their peers. If this does not work for them, they should seek help from their teachers. The teachers are actually their best references. Lastly, one very important reminder for all students is never study at the last moment. It will only add unnecessary pressure on them. Students might experience hyper-tension or mental blackout. In a nutshell, success can be achieved if they practise the tips given and do not rely on pure luck.
