About the IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.

4 Installation
Click here for the Application Release software installation procedure. Click here to upgrade to IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.4. IMPORTANT IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.4 can only be installed on an ULTRA 9.3 platform. To check the version currently installed, open ULTRA Version from the General tab of System Tools. For customers upgrading from IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.3 to 9.4, the upgrade can be performed remotely (although a restart is required and the Configuration Manager must be distributed). The IntelliMiner 9.4 Application Release software must be installed on the following (Windows 2000) machines:

IntelliMiner Server ULTRA Platform Sever (UXP) or stand-alone Application Server (Configuration Manager host machine)

NOTE You must also install the IntelliMiner 9.4 Application Release software on all other Windows 2000 hub servers (to bring all hub servers to the same service/update pack level):

IntelliFind Application Server IntelliFind Transcription Servers ULTRA Platform Server (consolidated or non-consolidated) Premium Application Server Stand-alone OpenStorage Portal Premium Contact Database Telephone Playback Server

After installing IntelliMiner 9.4 you must wait up to 24 hours for the system to import the data from the other ULTRA databases and process it before accessing the application. If this is not an option, you can force the system to import and process the data as described in the IntelliMiner Verification Test topic.

Time Estimates

For new installations the installation procedure takes several minutes. For upgrades from IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.3 to IntelliSeek/IntelliMiner 9.4 the installation may take up to 1 hour. For expansions of existing ULTRA 9.3B systems to include IntelliMiner 9.4, the process includes the time it takes to install a new IntelliMiner Sever and an additional hour to complete the installation.

Upgrades and expansions may result in the downtime of the IntelliMiner Server, while the software is installed and configured and the database is restored.

Rollback
As the IntelliMiner 9.4 Application Release software invokes the latest service or update pack, rollback is supported by uninstalling the latest service or update pack software from Add/Remove Programs and restoring the old configuration. IMPORTANT As a precaution, after rolling back IntelliMiner 9.4, on the UXP or standalone Application Server, force the Analytics (vgold) database to to import data from the Application Database and the Universal/Staging Database as follows: 1. Open the Database Status Viewer from the System Tools' Run tab 2. Locate the VGOLD Database Synchronization job and click Run Now. 3. Wait until the job's status becomes Succeeded. Afterwards, on the UXP or stand-alone Application Server, force the data processing to run: 1. From the command line, type d:\comverse\intelliminer\im_update.bat and press Enter. 2.
