SMOKING AND THE ILL EFFECTS Cigatettes, tobacco products, crack, marijuana and any other drugs are hazardous to our health. It is also proven main killer in Malaysia and nation wide. Therefore,it should be strictly prohibited. To many personal response, smoking has many bad effects. Most of the serious deaths are caused by the cigarettes. Those who have smoked for a number of years will have the symptoms at poor health such as breathless and stroke. This is commonly happened to those who are in their thirtys to sixtys.A life span of an individual reduced by a cigarette consumed.Although many prevention has been taken in reducing the smoking habits, yet the public still do not knoe the awareness. The prevention includes seminars, exhibition on the effects of smokers by the officers from the Drugs Association. Moreover, smoking is yet to be ban in other countries besides Malaysia. Secondly,in my personal response,I think second hand smokers is also the victim of smokers. Those second hand smokers inhaled the smoke which lead to the damaging of the heart and lungs.Roughly each year many people die due to these effects.People who are at risk of second hand smokers are mainly the spouse of smokers and children who stay in one roof. They are forced to breathe unhealthy air everyday. The life expectancy of the smoker is cut short by 10- 12 years and more than half of all smokers

die from smoking-related diseases. The younger the onset of smoking the longer one will most likely smoke and younger one is more likely to die.Smoking is a slow killer, not just to the smoker but to those also around him as they are affected by second- hand smoke. Thirdly, smokers have lower birth rate in their generation and less I,Q.Hence, those people have to accept the risk of the drugs. Therefore, people who do not smoke must always be aware the danger of these drugs.Comparative smoking facts show that the risk of heart attack is 70% higher among smokers than among nonsmokers. The incidence of lung cancer is 10 times greater in smokers than nonsmokers and one out of ten of people that smoke will die from this disease. Some 80% of smokers will at one time be diagnosed with heart disease, emphysema or chronic bronchitis.Of the diseases attributable to the tobacco habit, 29% are from lung cancer and 24% are caused by heart disease. Last but not least, many people who take care of their health seem to be involved in smoking. As such happens, cigarette manufactures have made many interesting advertising campaigns to attract the people from all range. In Malaysia, the age of smoking starts at thirteen.Due to this, the cigarette company made many profits because thousand of people become addicted to cigarettes. Finally, our Malaysian government should strictly not allow the sales of the product which harms our generations. They cause health problems in smokers and also non smokers. All the drug products which are dangerous also should be banned.
