GENERAL BUSINESS
8. “Safeguarding Our Seniors” the new program initiated by the Chief Financial
Officer for the State of Florida, Alex Sink, represented by Randell Brown.
9. Consider purchasing the Ocean Palm Golf Course for recreational purposes – Ed
Kuhnlein.
10. Resolution 2009-01, declaring property to be surplus; providing for conflict and
providing an effective date.
11. Discussion and direction regarding the regulation of vessels, floating businesses,
floating homes and marinas – City Attorney.
12. Discussion and authorization to perform legal surveys for land swap – Interim City
Manager.
13. Set a date for a Joint Workshop between the City Commission and the Planning
and Architectural Review Board to discuss the Evaluation and Appraisal Report for
the Comprehensive Plan. – Planning & Zoning Director / Planning Consultant.
14. Discussion and necessary action related to the north end water improvements –
Public Works Director/City Engineer.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
16. Ordinance 2008-13, adopting a Large Scale Amendment to the Flagler Beach
Comprehensive Plan; amending Future Land Use Element Policy A.1.1.3.H;
Conservation/Coastal Element Policy E.1.11.1 and the Future Land Use Map by
adding a Downtown Mixed-Use Overlay encompassing 24.9+ acres, a Downtown
SR A1A Retail Corridor Overlay encompassing 8.6 + acres and a Downtown
Residential Neighborhoods Overlay encompassing 22.0 + acres ; approving the
transmittal of the amendment to the Florida Department of Community Affairs in
accordance with Section 163.3191 Florida Statutes; providing for conflict and
severability and providing an effective date, second and final reading. Time Certain
for 6:30 p.m.
18. Site Plan Review: La Mer-PSPR-09-09-02, 2444 S. A1A Flagler Beach, Property
owner PJRJ, LLC. Applicant: Pete Lyden.
