SHARE THE GOSPEL USING THE ALPHABET

CCEPT

Talk about the origin of sin; when Adam and Eve fell

There are many ideas about evangelism, but one that has fascinated me lately is servant evangelism. It simply means that we should do deeds of kindness to people and then share with them the gospel. We should be kind people and ones who are eager to help others. Jesus said to His disciples, Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven (Matt. 5:16). In his book, Conspiracy Dr. Lazarus Seruyange of Kindness (Vine Books:1993), Pastor Steve Sjogren (read, Shogrin) promotes what he calls, servant evangelism. In this book Pastor Sjogren shares story after story about how people opened up to hear the gospel just because a Christian shared Gods love with them by giving them some practical help. He gives this principle, It seems people dont necessarily remember what they are told of Gods love, but they never forget what they have experienced of Gods love (p. 30). St. Francis of Asisi said, Share the gospel, and where necessary, use words. A young man in our neighborhood lost his leg through an accident with a boda boda (motorcycle) and it was amputated in the middle of the thigh. I met him after he left hospital and shared Christ with him and he trusted in Christ. Later my wife and I brought him to church (KBC). With the help of our care group, Gaba Road Care Group, and the church, we were able to buy him an artificial leg. His mother was so happy and later she also got saved. Now news has spread in his family about how we helped him and the people in his home village, in western Uganda, now want us to go there and tell them the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. Servant evangelism works. Try it!

from Gods grace (Genesis 3:10 13). We have all sinned against God. This means the person has got to ACCEPT that they are sinners. There is no one righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10). When one accepts that they are sinners it shows that they are on the right path to salvation.

ELIEVE

Since the fall, there have been many attempts by

different people to try and reconnect to the Lord Jesus hence the creations of the many religions and other things to get through to God but all this has failed. For the person to get to know who Jesus is, they have to BELIEVE that he was born by the Virgin Mary and at the age of 30 He started his ministry. We believe that he suffered at the hands of the Jewish religious leaders and was later crucified (John 19:23 25). We believe that he died and rose again (John 20:3- 9). Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).

another to believe in Jesus and another to confess your sins to receive forgiveness. For true repentance to take place, the person has to utter/say/confess with their own mouth that they are sinners and want a new life. That if you confess with your own mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Borrowing from the 4 spiritual laws model, it is sometimes good to start your sharing by affirming the person that God has a plan and a good plan at that for his/her life. This is got from Jeremiah 29:11 which states: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God loves us this much that he sent his Son to die in our place. For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

If yes, how many people have you shared Christ with?

If No, what has hindered you from sharing the gospel? I have been busy. I am the fellowship leader at my hostel so I had to prepare for the fellowship. My strategy is that my life should be witness. I work in the media which is a hostile environment so if you go out to people directly, they will reject you so my hope is that my life can be a testimony Thanks to: I didnt think about it. I am also a bit shy to talk about Christ because Dennis Kawuma, Kitata many of my friends are not born again. Sylus, Benezeri Chibita, These men were also asked if that was the best they would have done as far as evangelism is concerned. David Turyabe, Brian All the 6 said NO. Galabuzi, and Henry On man was asked why he felt that he was not doing enough, this was his Ssekikubo for sharing with us your experiences response: If you were hungry and now are satisfied, then you know how a hungry person feels and looks like and those are many.
