Packs are formed by depositing alternatively layers lace up and

lace down by means of transler trolleys and rotating arms, botl-r equipped with field adjustable magnetic arms.

NON TTAGNETIC TYPE

Packs are formed by means of a

double set of hydro-mechanically operated robot devices, which deposit alternatively layers face up and face down by clamping and moving the bars in a similar manner to the action of a human
hand.

The layers of sections, fiom the straightening process and cold cutting via either a fixed or flying type shear, are'' removed lrom the out-going roller way by means ol rotating arms fitted with field adjustable magnets lor braking and placing on conveyors leading to the stacker. The conveyors are normally long in order to give the bars a long residence time. thus ensuring highly flexible operation of the

The system is particularly suitable to handle medium-large sections. (Fig. 1) The fundamental elements required lor stacking are a set of transfer trolleys equipped with magnetic heads lor linear traverse, and a set of magnetic rotating arms which turn over each second lavcr.

Such layers can be either lifted up against the magnetic transfer trolleys or picked up by the

magnetic rotating ams. (Fig. 3-4) The packs are formed on a special lowering system by

(Fig. s) Special devices make bar release from magnetic heads easier alter demagnetization. The bundles lormed are dispatched and transferred to the binding zone on horizontal and vertical roller ways which vary in width in order to avoid disarrangement of the bundle during transfer. After applying the prefixed number of bindings, the bound packs are weighed, labelled and dispatched to the storage area. All operations are lully automatic and computer controlled.
