MS-WORD
It is a word processing programme. It provides all works related to word. Such as:-editing in word, deleting in word, creating of word, formatting of word, creating table, formatting of table, insert, picture, object, check spelling, mail merge, etc. It is a product of Microsoft Company and part of Ms-office. The default extension of word will be .DOC How to start Ms-Word:Click Start + programme + Ms-word

1) Title Bar:- The band which holds the name of active file is called title bar. 2) Menu Bar:- The band which holds the name of menu is called menu bar. 3) Menu:- it is a name which is a group of commands. OR Menu holds the name of commands 4) Standard toolbar:- The short-cut symbol holds which band is called standard toolbar. 5) Formatting toolbar:- The band which holds items of formatting. 6) Scroll bar:- To scroll the size of file.

7) Drawing toolbar:- The band which holds the items of Drawing.

MENU BAR
1. File
1. FILE + SAVE OR (CTRL+S):- This Command is used to Save the Currently active file with a name. Req step:a) Give File + Save or Ctrl + S Command b) Specify the name of file in file name box. c) Click on <Save> button 2. FILE + NEW OR (CTRL+N):- This Command is used to active new blank file. Req step:a) Give File + New or Ctrl+N Command b) Select <blank document> by clicking c) Click on <OK> button. 3. FILE + CLOSE OR (CTRL+F4) OR (ALT+F+C):- This Command is used to close currently active file. 4. FILE + OPEN OR (CTRL+O):- This Command is used to open existed file. Req step:a) Give File + open Or Ctrl+O Command b) Specify the name of file in file name box. c) Click on <Open> button. 5. FILE + SAVE AS OR (ALT + F + A):- To Save Currently active file with a new name. Req step:a) Give File + Save As or Alt +F + A Command b) Specify the name of file in file name box. c) Click on <Save> button. 6. FILE + EXIT OR (ALT + F + X):- To exit from MS-Word environment and for come window. 7. FILE + PRINT PREVIEW:- This Command is used to display the contends of active file as printing style. or It also displays that if you will print currently active file then which type of page you will get.

Req step:a) Give Command b) Click on <Close> button after determined. 8. FILE + PROPERTIES:- This command is used to display the properties of active file as-size, type creation date. It also allows us to write some summary about currently active file. Req step:a) Give Command b) After determined click on <Ok> button. 9. FILE + PAGE SETUP:- This command is used to setup the page for printing style as-margin, paper size, document style etc. Req step:a) Give Command

b) Specify desired instruction for its related box. c) Click on <Ok> button. 10. FILE + PRINT:- This command is used to print contents on paper through printer. 11. FILE + SEND TO:- This command is used to send message to another system as-E-mail through Internet.

2. Edit
1. EDIT + CUT OR (CTRL+X):- This Command is used to cut the Selected string or message and store in clipboard. Note:- Clipboard holds message up to Cut or Copy any message. Req step:a) Select the message

b) Give Edit + Cut Command. 2. EDIT + PASTE OR [CTRL+V]:- To paste the message from clipboard at the position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Edit + Paste Command 3. EDIT + COPY OR [CTRL+C]:- To Copy the selected string and store in clipboard. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Edit + Copy Command How to Insert same message at desired position. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Edit + Copy Command c) Move cursor at desired position d) Give Edit + Past Command 4. EDIT + CLEAR OR [DELETE KEY]:- To delete or clear the selected message from active file. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Edit + Clear Command or Delete Key. 5. EDIT + UNDO OR [CTRL+Z]:- This Command is used to Cancle previous executed command and Instruction and move previous position. 6. EDIT + REPEAT OR [CTRL+Y]:- This command is used to Repeat last command or Instruction. 7. EDIT + FIND OR [CTRL+F]:- This command is used to Find or Search desired string in active file. 8. EDIT + REPLACE OR [CTRL+H]:- This Command is used to replace Finded string in desired string. 9. EDIT + GOTO OR [CTRL+G]:- This Command is used to move cursor at desired line, paragraph. Req step:a) Give Edit + Goto Command b) Select line option c) Specify line number in box d) Click on <Goto> button e) Click on <Close> button.

10. EDIT + SELECT ALL OR [CTRL+A]:- This Command is used to select all message of active file at a time.

3. Insert
1. INSERT + PICTURE + CLIPART :- This Command is used to Insert Picture at desired position in active file from clip gallery. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + Picture + Clipart Command c) Select any Picture d) And Select its related Picture e) Click on <Insert Clip> button f) Click on Close <X> button. 2. INSERT + PICTURE + WORD ART COMMAND:- This Command is used to Insert the style of word. Req step:a) Give Insert + Picture + word art Command b) Click on <Word art> button c) Click on <Ok> button d) Specify the any Name e) Click on <Ok> button

i. New word art :- To active new word art. ii. Edit text:- To change text for selected style. iii. Art style iv. Color v. Rotate :- To change the style of text. :- To change the color of selected picture. :- To Rotate the selected picture in desired angle.

vi. ABC:- To change the appearance of selected picture or text.

3. INSERT + PICTURE + FROM FILE:- To Insert picture from picture file at the position of cursor in active file. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + Picture + From file command c) Select Picture file d) Click on <Insert> buttom Click on <C:>, Click on <Windows> 4. INSERT + PICTURE + AUTO SHAPE:- This Command is used to insert desired Auto shape at desired position from Auto shape tool bar. Req step:a) Give Insert + Picture + Auto shape command b) Select any tool bar button and its related shape. c) Create shape by drop and Dragging method 5. INSERT + BREAK COMMAND:- This Command is used to break page or Column at the position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + break command

c) Check mark on <Page break> option d) Click on <Ok> button 6. INSERT + PAGE NUMBER:- To insert page number in desired position in each page. Req step:a) Give Insert + Page number

b) Select position and Alignment c) Click on <Ok> button A. Formatting Tool Bar:-

Font type:- To change the style of Font Font Size:- To change the Size of selected message. For Increase Ctrl + ], ya Ctrl + Shift + > For Decrease Ctrl + [, ya Ctrl + Shift + < Bold:- (Ctrl + B):- To bold the selected message or string. Italic:- (Ctrl + I):- To Italic the selected message or string. Underline:- (Ctrl + U):- To Underline the selected message or string. For double Underline:- Ctrl + Shift + D Lift:- (Ctrl + L):- To change the position of selected message as lift arrangement. Centre:- (Ctrl + E):- To change the position of selected message as central arrangement. Right:- (Ctrl + R):- To change the position of selected message as Right arrangement. Justify:- (Ctrl + J):- To change the position of selected message according to space. Color:- To change the color of selected message. Insert + Picture + Chart:- This command is used to Insert chart at desired position of page. Req step:a) Give command b) Define data for chart c) Click on mouse in other location.

7. INSERT + SYMBOL:- This command is used to Insert desired given symbol at the position of cursor in active file. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position

b) Give Insert + Symbol command c) Click on <Insert> button d) Click on <Close> button. 8. INSERT + FILE:- This command is used to Insert message of another file into active file at desired position. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + File command c) Select file name d) Click on <Insert> button. 9. INSERT + DATE AND TIME:- This command is used to Insert Date and Time of system at desired position. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + Date and Time command c) Select Date and Time format d) Click on <Ok> button. 10. INSERT + TEXT BOX:- This command is used to Insert text box at any position in active file for write some message. Req step:a) Give Insert + Text box command b) Drag at desired position. 11. INSERT + COMMENTS:- This command is used to Insert comments for selected message. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Insert + Comments command c) Specify message d) Click on <Ok> button. 12. INSERT + REFERENCE + FOOTNOTE:- Define Footnote for word. Req step:a) Move cursor at end of word b) Give Insert + Footnote command c) Click on Insert button d) Specify message

13. INSERT + AUTOTEXT + AUTOTEXT:- To define the name of Text for Insert at desired position with desired manner. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give command c) Specify the name of paragraph d) Click on <Add> button. How to Insert Autotext:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + Autotext + Autotext c) Select the name of paragraph. d) Click on <Insert> button. 14. INSERT + BOOK MARK:- This command is used to define the name of paragraph for activation of cursor. Req step:a) Select paragraph b) Give Insert + Book Mark command c) Specify the name of paragraph d) Click on <Add> button. INSERT + HYPERLINK OR [CTRL+K]:- This command is used to Connect one file or word to another file. Req step:a) Select the word

16. INSERT + CAPTION (ekxZ):- This command is used to insert caption or lable of desired abject. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Insert + Caption command c) Click on <OK> button. 17. INSERT + AUTOTEXT + AUTOTEXT + CURRECT:- It is used to define a correct word for a wrong word. Req step:a) Give command b) Select Autocorrect button c) Define Replace word and new word d) Click on <add> button e) Click on <Close> button. Drawing toolbar,

4. Format
1. FORMAT + FONT:- To change the formatting or selected word as Font type, Font size, Font color, Font style, Underline, etc. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Format + Font command

c) Select or check mark on desired option d) Click on <Ok> button. 2. FORMAT + PARAGRAPH:- To change the formatting of selected paragraph. As- indent, Alignment, and line spacing. Req step:a) Select the desired paragraph b) Specify desired line spacing. Indent and Alignment according to requirnment c) Click on <Ok> button. 3. FORMAT + BULLET + NUMBERING:- To change the formatting of selected paragraph. As- Numbering each paragraph with desired bullet and Number. Req step:a) Select the desired paragraph b) Give Format + Bullet + Numbering command

c) Select the desired Numbering style d) Click on <Ok> button. 4. FORMAT + BACKGROUND:- To change the Background colour of active file with desired colour. Req step:a) Give Format + Background command b) Select desired colour 5. FORMAT + THEME:- To change the colour of Background and foreground according to predefined. Req step:a) Give Format + Theme command

b) Select desired :Theme style c) Click on <Ok> button. 6. FORMAT + BORDER AND SHADING:- To define Border and Shading for desired selected paragraph with given style of line and shadow. Req step:a) Select message or paragraph b) Give Format + Border and Shading command c) Select desired option as box, shadow, line and color.

d) Click on <Ok> button. 7. FORMAT + CHANGE CASE:- To change the Case of selected message, asupper, lower, sentence, tital, toggele etc. Req step:a) Select message b) Give Format + Change Case command

c) Check mark on desired option d) Click on <Ok> button. 8. FORMAT + COLUMN:- To separate active file in desired no. or column. Req step:a) Give Format + Column command

b) Select desired format of column or specify no. of column. c) Click on <Ok> button.

How to active Cursor in another Columns a) Give Insert + Break command b) Select or check mark on column break option. c) Click on <Ok> button. 9. FORMAT + DROP CAP:- To change the formatting of first letter of document in desired style. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Format + Drop cap command c) Select the desired style

d) Click on <Ok> button. 10. FORMAT + STYLE AND FORMATTING:- To change the style of selected paragraph in pre. define style. Req step:a) Select message b) Give Format + Style and Formatting command c) Select desired style of paragraph.

11. FORMAT + AUTO FORMAT:- To change the formatting of selected message in pre-define format. Req step:a) Select the message b) Give Format + Auto format command c) Check mark on <auto format review as> on each page. d) Click in <Ok> button. e) Click on <Style Gallary> f) Select desired auto format style g) Click on <Ok> button. h) Click on <Accept all> button.

5. Table
1. TABLE + INSERT + TABLE:- To insert desired number of row and columns table at the position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Table + Insert + Table command

c) Specify the number of Row and Columns d) Click on <Ok> button. 2. TABLE + INSERT + ROW (ABOVE/BELLOW):- To Insert a Row at the position of cursor above or bellow position. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired Row b) Give Table + Insert + Row command 3. TABLE + INSERT + COLUMNS (LEFT/RIGHT):- To insert a blank column from left or right position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired column b) Give Table + Insert + Column command 4. TABLE + INSERT + CELL:- To insert a blank cell at the position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position. b) Give Table + Insert + Cell command c) Specify or check mark on desired option. d) Click on <Ok> button. 5. TABLE + SELECT + TABLE:- To select all Table at a time, But cursor activation is must in any part of table. 6. TABLE + SELECT + ROW/COLUMN/CELL:- To select desired Row/Column/Cell in which cursor is active. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired position b) Give Command. 7. TABLE + DELETE + TABLE:- To delete selected table from the screen of computer. Req step:a) Select table b) Give Command.

8. TABLE + DELETE + ROW/COLUMN/CELL:- To delete selected Row/Column/Cell from the active table. Req step:a) Select Row/Column/Cell b) Give Command. 9. TABLE + MERGE CELL:- To merge selected Cell. Req step:a) Select desired Cell b) Give Command. 10. TABLE + SPLIT CELL:- To Split selected Cell in desired row or column. Req step:a) Select desired row/column/cell b) Give Command c) Specify the number of row and column. d) Click on <Ok> button. 11. TABLE + AUTO FIT + AUTO FIT AS CONTENTS:- To fit the table according to contents. Req step:a) Select table b) Give Command. 12. TABLE + AUTO FIT + AUTO FIT AS WINDOW:- To fit the table according to size of window. Req step:a) Select table b) Give Command. 13. TABLE + CONVERT + TABLE TO TEXT:- To convert selected table in text format. Req step:a) Select table b) Give Command. 14. TABLE + CONVERT + TEXT TO TABLE:- To convert selected text in table. Req step:a) Select text b) Give Command. 15. TABLE + AUTO FORMAT:- To change the style of selected table as predefined style. Req step:a) Select the table

b) Give Command c) Select desired format style d) Click on <Ok> button. 16. TABLE + SPLIT TABLE:- To break the selected table from the position of cursor. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired row b) Give Command. 17. TABLE + SORT:- To arrange the message of selected table in ascending or descending order. 18. TABLE + FORMULA:- To do calculation work in desired cell. With function or formula. Req step:a) Move cursor at desired cell b) Give Command.

19. TABLE + PROPERTY:- To change the property of selected table as high, width and Alignment.

Req step:a) Select table b) Give Command.

6. Tools
1. TOOLS + SPELLING AND GRAMMAR (F7):- To check the word and change it its related right word and also check grammar. Req step:a) Give Command or press (F7) button.

b) Select right word for related wrong word c) Click on <Change> button for change other wise <Ignore> d) Click on <Ok> button. 2. TOOLS + LANGUAGE + SET LANGUAGE:- To change the language for check spelling and grammar. Req step:a) Give Command b) Select U.S. English c) Click on <Ok> button.

3. TOOLS + LANGUAGE + THESAURUS (SHIFT+F7):- To change the selected word in desired synonyms and Antonyms. Req step:a) Select the word b) Give Command c) Select desired Synonyms and Antonyms for selected word. d) Click on <Ok> or <Replace> button. 4. TOOLS + TRACK CHANGE + HIGH LIGHT CHANGE (CTRL+SHIGT+E):- To change the high light color of word. When any types of modification or editing is done by user. Req step:a) Give Command b) Check mark on <Track change while editing> option. c) Click on <Ok> button. a) b) c) How to Cancel track change and High light change:Give Tools + Track change + High light change Command Remove check mark from <Track change while editing> option. Click on <Ok> button.

5. TOOLS + PROTECT:- To safe your file for not editing. Req step:a) Give Command b) Check mark on <Comments> option c) Specify password in password box. d) Click on <Ok> button e) Specify reenter password f) Click on <Ok> button. a) b) c) How to Unprotect file or active file for editing. Give Tools + Unprotect Command Specify password Click on <Ok> button.

How to protect any file for not activation. a) Give File + Save As Command b) Click on <Tools> button c) Click on <General option> d) Specify password in password box e) Click on <Ok> button f) Reenter password g) Click on <Ok> button h) Click on <Save> button

i) Close the active file and open it. 6. TOOLS + LETTERS AND MAILINGS + MAIL MERGE:- To add data file with document file. Req step:a) Create data file, Save and Close it. b) Create document file and Save it. c) Give Tools + Mail merge Command. d) Click on <Create> button. e) Select <From letter> option. f) Click on <active window> g) Click on <get data> h) Click on <Open data Source> i) Select data file and open it. j) Click on <edit main document>

7. TOOLS + AUTO CORRECT:- To correct wrong word in related Right word. Req step:a) Give Command

b) Specify wrong word and its related Right word in Replace with box. c) Click on <Add> button and for delete click on <delete> button. d) Click on <Ok> button.

8. TOOLS + LETTERS AND MAILINGS + ENVELOPES AND LABELS:- To create envelop and label in active file. Req step:a) Give Command

b) Specify address in both box. c) Click on <Add to document> button. 9. TOOLS + MACROS + RECORD NEW MACROS:- To create short-cut key and macros for desired instruction which is used several time. Req step:a) Give Command b) Specify the Name of micros box. c) Click on <Keyboard> button. d) Define short-cut key in related box. e) Click on <Assigh> button. f) Click on <Close> button.

g) Record instruction h) Click on stop recording button. 10. TOOLS + WORD COUNT:- This Command is used to count total No. of word character paragraph line of selected document. Req step:a) Select desired document

b) Give Command c) Click on <Close> button. 11. TOOLS + MACROS + MACROS (ALT+F8):- To run or delete predefine macros. Req step:a) Give Command b) Select the name of macros c) Click on run for execute and click on delete for remove. How to Create button in toolbar:Req step:a) Give Tools + macros + record new macros b) Specify the name of macros c) Click on toolbar button d) Select <Normal. New macros. Deepak > and create a button in toolbar by drop and drag method. e) Right click on tool button. f) Click on <Name> option. g) Specify name h) Click on <Close> button. i) Record instruction and click on <stop recording> button. 12. TOOLS + CUSTOMIZE:- To add or remove desired tool button from application window it means, it change the configuration of application window. Req step:a) Give Command by drop and draging method b) Add or remove button c) Click on <Close> button. 13. TOOLS + OPTION:- To change the configuration of application window as auto save, password to open. How to set auto save:a) Give Tools + Option Command b) Click on <Save> button tab c) Check mark on <auto save> option d) Specify duration or time e) Click on <Ok> button.

7. View
1. VIEW + NORMAL:- To display the document in normal view. It does not give facility to drawing work. In this view hide vertical rular. Req step:a) Give Command.

2. VIEW + PRINT LAYOUT:- It displays documents in print lay out with both rular. It gives facility to drawing and we can measure any page. Req step:a) Give Command. 3. VIEW + WEB LAYOUT:- To display the page of documents as web style. It displays all back-ground color of page. It is just like web page (internet page). Req step:a) Give Command. 4. VIEW + OUT LINE:- To display page with out line symbol for changing their position. Req step:a) Give Command. 5. VIEW + TOOLBAR:- To show or hide desired toolbar from screen of computer. 6. VIEW + RULER:- To hide or show Ruler from the screen of computer. 7. VIEW + FULL SCREEN:- To display message on full screen of computer. Req step:a) Give Command b) Click on <Close Full screen> button. 8. VIEW + ZOOM:- To display the message of active file in desired Zoom percentage(%). Req step:a) Give Command b) Specify Zoom or check mark on % Zoom. c) Click on <Ok> button. 9. VIEW + HEADER AND FOOTER:- This command is used to define header and footer for each page. Req step:a) Give Command.

10. VIEW + FOOT NOTE:- To display the foot note of given word and gives facilities to editing in foot note. Req step:a) Give Command.
