Optical Fibre Cable Network development in 1000 Union Parishad (1006 Union Parishad)

Period : 1 January 2012 June 2014 Total Cost : 71897.09 BDT GOB (Equity) : 71897.09 BDT Local Currency : 49088.29 BDT Foreign Currency : 22818.15 BDT ----------------------------------Total Cost : 69430.31 BDT

This Pro-people project was approved on 24.01.2012 and now at start up phase The aim is to build up a nationwide modern and high capacity ICT infrastructure to materializing vision 2021.

This future project is aimed to provide optical connectivity to difficult places to fulfill the vision 2021: Digital Bangladesh goal of the government. Motto is Reach the unreachable.

Installation of Wireless Broadband network for Digital Bangladesh

Period : 1 January, 2010 31 December, 2014 Foreign : 40623.97 Local : 14292.67 Total Cost : 54916.64 BDT

BTCL proposed LTE instead of Wimax. Negotiation going on with EDCF (Korea) for financing. Aim is to provide blanket coverage for broadband access. 3G will provide broadband accessibility to mobile devices (mobile hand set or Tablet), while LTE is for broadband access for PCs or Laptops. Foreign funding is being sought. *Make tele-access affordable for all citizens *Extension of high quality tele-density * Extending of infrastructure of ICT related services

Installation of NGN (IMS) Based Telecommunication Network for Digital Bangladesh (NTN)

IIG has been completed. Installation of ICX is going on.

Replacement of old Digital Telephone System of Dhaka city (171000 line )
