NOTICE INVITING QUOTATIONS

Assistant Engineer, Silchar Central Sub-Division-I, CPWD, Silchar, Assam invites sealed item rate quotations from eligible and experienced Sub-soil Investigating agencies for and on behalf of the President of India for the following work. The quotations will be received upto 15:00 Hrs. of 28.01.2012, which shall be opened at 15:30 Hrs. on the same day. Name of Work: Construction of Baffle Range for BSF at Patharkandi, Assam. Carrying out detailed Soil Investigation for determination of geo-technical proprieties of soil including determination of safe bearing capacity of soil for deciding appropriate type of foundation, by sinking 100mm dia. bore holes including conducting all necessary lab & field testing including SPT test as per the procedure and method of BIS/ IS codal provisions and preparation of bore logs and submission of detailed Geo-tech report with recommendation on type of suitable foundation in 3 copies complete as per direction of Engineerin-charge (Rate includes mobilization of equipment to site and withdrawing of the same from site).

Total Amount in words: NOTE: (1) TIME PERIOD: 15 days from date of issue of work order. (2) The rate quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes as applicable and nothing extra shall be paid.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: (1) A baffle Range of 100m range is to be constructed at BSF Campus, Patharkandi, Assam. The agency has to carry out sub-soil investigation to determine safe bearing capacity, so as to decide appropriate type of foundation for the boundary wall of 3.00m height all around the range and Stop butt wall of 3.60m height wall on north side, including preparation of soil testing report with all necessary details and design calculations of safe bearing capacity.

(2) Terms of Payment: (a) The fee shall be paid as first and final bill on successful completion of the work. Service Tax & Income Tax and any other tax as applicable shall be deducted as applicable. The quantity given in the quotation are tentative. Final payment shall be based on the final quantity as per the site requirement. The agency shall submit their bill in duplicate to the Executive Engineer, SCD, CPWD, Silchar on completion of the work for payment. Income Tax as per the rules shall be deducted from the bills. TDS Certificate shall be supplied at the end of the financial year or on completion of the job, as the case may be.

It shall be the responsibility of the agency to carry out the soil testing accurately as per the prescribed BIS/ IS codes. If any deviation is found in the data of safe bearing capacity at later stage, the agency shall make itself liable to be debarred from undertaking any other work under the SCD, CPWD. In case of any dispute, the mater shall be referred to the Superintending Engineer, SCC, CPWD, Silchar for amicable settlement, whose decision on the subject shall be final and binding on both parties. The agency shall be fully responsible for accuracy of the data and geo-technical report. Scanned copy of the quotation may be sent to interested party through e-mail on their request. Duly filled in quotations received through e-mail will also be considered in view of postal delays. The original quotation must reach as early as possible. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject the lowest or all the quotations without assigning any reason thereto.
