Introduction - informs the reader of the problem under study. It shows the nature of scope and the problem, its historical & theoretical background & a review of literature relevant to the problem. 1. Background of the Study - states the rationale of the study. It explains briefly why the investigator chose this study to work on.

Chapter I INTRODUCTION Computers are one of the most important tools in our daily life. It helps us in almost all of our written reports, important documents, other files to be kept, and for viewing photos and videos. Electronic personal computers came in at late 80s and early 90s such as the IBM PS/2, Intel 80x6 series and AMD 486. As the years past, makers of personal computers develop new models such as the Intel Pentium, Pentium II, Pentium III, and the latest Pentium IV and AMD K7 family of processor such as the Athlon XP and Duron processors. There are many developments that happened in the Computer Society before it reached its success today. The first electronic computer developed was the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Calculator). Because of the uncontrolled spread of destructive viruses in the Computer World and the fast development of technology, there are lots of computers which are considered high tech. Many users are replacing their computers with new ones. Lots of computers are then abandoned and junked. But old CRT monitors can also be recycled an converted into a projector. The researchers then aimed to recycle old or junk CRT monitors into a projector which can be used for home theater and school used. And to support the provisions of Republic Act 9003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act. More than 11 years have passed since the passage of the RA 9003, yet garbage remains one of the major problems of many cities and municipalities in the country. We are taking-up the cudgels for our defenseless environment and working for a greener, zero waste society that all Filipinos can be proud of.
2. Statement of Problem/Objectives - the nature & scope of the problem should be presented with clarity. Two types of objectives may be stated: General Objective - this is related to the problem as given in the early part of the section. Specific Objective - this states the purpose of each experiment conducted.

OBJECTIVES General Objective: This study aims to find out if an old CRT monitor can project images on screen. Specific Objectives: Specifically, this study has two main objectives. 1. To use an old CRT monitor and magnifying glass to display images on screen. 2. To use a mirror to display the correct image on screen.

3.

Significance of the Study - the importance of the study is explained in this part.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY This study which aimed to find out if an old CRT monitor can be used as a projector is significant to different sectors for various reasons: Serve as an eye-opener for those computer users who want to convert their old CRT monitors to a projector. Provide information to computer shop owners with respect to the recycling of old CRT monitors. Serve as motivating factor for the schools or institutions to direct their students and to further strengthen their capabilities for developing old CRT monitors into a projector and other processes to maximize the recycling of old CRT monitors. Furthermore, the outcome of the study will provide empirically based information to policy makers in Ecological Solid Waste Management. (RA 9003) Junk CRT monitors are usually stocked or thrown out elsewhere and eventually rust that cause hazardous chemicals. Converting these nonfunctional CRT monitors does not only support RA 9003 but it also opens an avenue to develop technology in the community. Likewise, this provides all people an opportunity to enjoy living in a clear and hazardous free environment. DEFINITION OF TERMS For purpose of clarity, the following terms used in the study are hereby defined. CRT monitor a cathode ray tube monitor. Magnifying glass a hand lens that will magnify the inverted image from the inverted CRT monitor. Mirror a plane mirror that will project the image on screen in inversely. Box - will enclose the light from CRT monitor to the lens. Scope and Limitations - states the coverage & extent of the study. SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS This study was conducted June 25, 2012 to September 30, 212. It is limited to the use of CRT monitor, magnifying glass, and mirror. The conversion of an old CRT monitor into a projector is the main concern of this research. The CRT Projector can be done by using a magnifying glass to project an image in a box and a mirror to correct the image on screen.

4.

Review of Related Literature - sufficient background information should be presented for readers to understand & evaluate the results of the present study. Only the most important studies and theories written on the topic should be included.

Chapter II REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE In the late 19th century (LENS CRT MONITORS MIRROR LIGHT PROJECTORS

Commercial projectors are popular as they can provide a theater-like experience at home. They project video upon a wall or screen just as in a theater, producing enormous pictures, but requiring a large empty wall and potentially suffering from projector side effects like picture wash-out due to excessive ambient lighting. Most can be mounted on the ceiling or floor, or placed on a table. Price currently ranges from a low of around Php 19,000.00 for a simple 800x600 projector up to a high of well over Php 60,000.00 for a well featured 1280x720 projector. Lamp price is also of concern, as lamp life is usually only 3000 hours, and replacement lamps can reportedly cost thousands of pesos.
ETC.

Methodology - provides enough details so that a competent worker can repeat the experiments. 1. Materials/Equipment - the exact technical specifications, quantities and source of method of preparation for all materials used should be given. Specifically built equipment used in the study must be described and the description accompanied by a picture.

Chapter III METHODOLOGY Materials / Equipment: *CRT Monitor Magnifying Glass Mirror Box / Card Board Scissors Tapes Card Black Paint Netbook / CD or DVD Player / LAPTOP / System Unit for testing Video or IMAGE to be Used (light and sight video lesson, colors) *CRT monitor came from non-functional computer system unit.

2.

Treatment/General Procedure - the manner & sequence by which each experiment or set of observations were done & how measurements were obtained should be described in detail. Avoid using the "recipe style" when stating the step-by-step procedure. Use the narrative form in the past tense.

General Procedure STEPS FOR MAKING THE CRT PROJECTOR 1. Assemble a box that will surround the CRT monitor screen. The frame needs to be at least 45 centimeters long and the exact same height and width of the CRT monitor. 2. Cut out the cardboard pieces and paint them black before taping them together. 3. Cut out one more piece of cardboard that is the same size as the CRT monitor screen. Cut a hole in the center 19 centimeters in diameter. 4. Tape the magnifying glass to this piece. 5. Attach the frame to the CRT monitor so it encases the screen. 6. Tape the frame to the screen's border with duct tape, surrounding the entire area with tape. This makes sure all light from the screen projects through the projection frame. 7. Secure the frame to the CRT monitor. Run more duct tape from the top and bottom edges of the frame to the top and bottom surfaces of the CRT monitor. 8. Insert the piece with the lens into the projection frame. Before doing this, place tabs on the left and right edges of the piece by folding a piece of tape over itself on each end. Place the lens about halfway into the frame. 9. Flip the CRT monitor upside down to compensate for the magnifying glass flipping the projected image upside down. If the CRT monitor was turned on less than 12 hours before you do this, the image can have a green or purple hue when you turn it on now. 8. Turn the set on with it facing a blank wall. Adjust the sets position to get the projection's size that you want. Reach into the frame and adjust the lens' position (using the tabs) until the image is focused. 9.

Results and Discussion - this maybe divided into sub-sections describing each set of experiment or observations. 1. Findings - the data maybe presented in full & discussed descriptively in the text or these maybe summarized in tables, pictures & graphs. The statistical test used to determine the possible significance of the finding should be described. Tables, pictures & graphs should make the presentation of the data more meaningful. Analysis of Data - the interpretation of the findings are discussed & the significant features shown in the table, figures or graphs are pointed out.

2.

Chapter IV RESULTS AND DISCUSSION This chapter presents the data, analysis and interpretation of findings. It is in this part whereby the data have been sorted out, tabulated, subjected to statistical analysis and then the findings were interpreted. Table 1 below presents the ///download open stat/// for results using statistics or tables and graphs //////////prepare for these//////////////////////////

Conclusions - the general truth implied or illustrated by the results should be clearly stated. The evidence based on the results should be summarized for each statement.

Chapter V CONCLUSION Based on the findings of the project, the following conclusions are formulated. 1. Old CRT monitors can be recycled and converted into a projector. 2. The CRT projector is best viewed in a dark room.

Recommendations - consists of suggestions on future actions such as a new direction of research or further experiments to be performed, practices that might be adapted or discarded in order to attain certain goals or objectives.

RECOMMENDATIONS On the basis of the conclusions formulated, the following recommendations are offered for possible further study. 1. Information disseminations to the people on the proper recycling of old and dilapidated computers and other solid wastes should be intensified. 2. People should know the values of recycling not only the biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes but also personal computers for them to do their part to cut down on microchip pollution that affects the environment. 3. Computer users should be guided accordingly on how to recycle destroyed personal computers rather than to junk them elsewhere, because dumping them elsewhere, will eventually rust that cause hazardous chemicals. For them also to help reduce the spreading out of toxic chemicals which are dangerous to human beings. 4. Since the number of computer users in computer shops offering rentals and related services is increasing, computer shop owners should be notified of the other benefits they acquired out of the destroyed personal computers. Conversion of these PCs to a projector promotes the product which means additional income. 5. Computer schools and institutions storing non-functional computers should know the significance of recycling old computers and its effect to the environment if those junk computers were kept and stored for a longer period of time. 6. The government should extend its support on Solid Waste Management by providing financial assistance to any institutions who will soon adopt this project and to continue developing solutions to lessen the rapid increased of junk computer and promote computer re-use and recycling infrastructure. 7. Old, junk or abandoned computers or any other unused materials and parts of computers must be recycled to lessen the amount of junk computers in the world.
