IS IT EVER POSSIBLE TO ATTAIN GENDER EQUALITY Women should be granted equality (looked up with ) Positive discrimination (distinction) Equal pay for equal work Various steps have been taken to eliminate gender inequality Safeguard constitutional rights of women (Liberation /freedom ) Emancipation of women Programs aim at the holistic empowerment of women Awareness generation Economic empowerment In an environment of privatization and globalization the walls of discrimination are Breaking rapidly Women are not provided much liberty (freedom ) Face harassment e.g. Gang rape selling of women in the brothels Burning of the bride for dowry Situation of women is deteriorating (becoming worse ) They remained confined (limited ) Live under the dominance of men Are considered inferior to men Widespread veil system (cover on the face / purdah ) They do the lions share of the work Female infanticide & foeticide Maternal mortality due to lack of nutritive food WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO END TERRORISM? Menace of terrorism Safety has been clouded due to terrorism (surrounded) The entire humanity is the victim International consensus is necessary (agreement ) Terrorist are sheltered and aided They have a Vested interest in spreading terrorism Any violation should be subjected to imposing Sanction as well as segregation from world community Terrorist have bruised mankind (injured) Some countries are showing their cowardly actions through proxy war and terrorism (fake ) Smashed the freedom We should ascertain the root cause of terrorism Mutual Understanding Waging a war ( Pumping terrorist into our country Armed forces have been deployed We retaliate in defence A full fledged war Compel Pakistan to change its track Arbitration between the two countries is necessary (agreement by argumentation )

Private sector V/S Public Sector Rapid Industrialization depends on infrastructure Development of basic and capital goods industries involve Heavy Investments & Long gestation period Private sector involves itself in quick project making Underdeveloped govt. can use public sector in any region where Local resources are not appropriate Ultimate objective of public sector is to benefit the people Any enterprise becomes successful on the basis of profit In India profits are deplorably low Irrespective of the result, ministers make promises about future location of projects without feasibility study In India the public enterprises have become the victim of bureaucracy. Non rational approach produces the impediments in the growth rate of a country (problems ) Privatization leads to better management, product maximization, quick decision making, better market valuation & share holder benefit We should make better use of private sector to accelerate growth of a country Private sector is plagued by poor industrial relations & strikes & lock-outs Few incentives from the state hampers the growth of the economic sector Should the learning and teaching of English language be encouraged in India? Beyond doubt English is the most important & powerful language If a regional language replaces English, we will be Confined to boundaries of our regions & nations English acts as a unifying bond It is a link language between all countries If we had imposed hindi as the sole official Language we would have gone towards disintegration & diversity Why should we use the language of our foreign rulers , advocating the use of english which we had once discarded before independence ( given away ) Learning English is burden to the poor and unprivileged Literacy journals, internet, computers etc are all in English It has created a Unified image of India English has Victorious achievements of the past & future By its introduction in the School syllabus students are able to compete & work in other countries Will we be honored or congratulated by the Britishers? No English is a parameter to remind us that we were slaves People read vulgar and erotic novels (arousing ) Dr. S. Radhakrishnan has Advocated Hindi/English in lucid and simplified form (easily understandable ) Indian Culture A myth or a Reality Indian culture is a reality not a myth There is a fusion of cultures because the world has become a global village But the originality of a culture can be preserved We must not forget our basic traditions We still perform our rituals and traditions in festivals, marriages etc We worship the same Gods. Indian culture is the oldest one, It contains all the basic elements of human existence We are forgetting our culture and adopting other cultures like non-veg food, liquor, dress code of jeans, minis and skin tights. Permissiveness in society. Saris and suits are out. (tolerance /leniency ) Globalization has brought about sweeping changes Pizza hut, Mc. Donalds, Discos, Night clubs, bars Pubs are some of the elements of western culture Indian culture is losing its identity Again on the other hand for the last few years there has been a revival of Indian culture

We are throwing off our bad traditions There is an increase in the number of devotees of God We are losing casteism and Untouchability Everyone can enter the temples Most of the world is aware of the Ayurveda which is the invention of our ancestors DEMOCRACY IN INDIA A SUCCESS OR A FAILURE? Analysis of elections show Notorious candidate wins (famous for bad reasons ) Most unworthy become ministers Democracy has been toppled (to push or overturn ) Dictatorship takes a nation ahead Majority of hoodlums + rogues (gangster ) Steep price rise has Broken the back of masses Fundamental rights and equality Selfish motives Quagmire of money and lust (Entrapping situation ) Undesired strikes Lethargic Employees Unruly law and order situation Freedom is misused and misinterpreted Upliftment of society Industrialization Green revolution Anti social elements
