As we seek to maintain a Culture of Celebrations it is necessary that I share one important celebration that our school received regarding school report cards. Public schools in SC now receive report ratings based on a letter grade. Each year schools can earn an A, B, C, D, or F rating based on several factors. We missed earning an A rating by less than three points. Our score was 87.3 which earned us a B. As a school we are proud of this mark, but because we believe in a Culture of Continuous Improvement, we recognize that we can build upon this success. With your continued support we are confident that the best is yet to come for our beloved Fox Cubs! Julius Scott Principal

Students, parents and facultyIts time to go through your kitchen drawers and send in Box Tops for Education labels you have been collecting over the summer! Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help DFES earn money to support its various programs. The average household with children purchases more than 100 Box Top products each year and 100 Box Tops = $10 in earnings for DFES! For a complete list of items that qualify, log onto www.boxtops4education.com/earn/clip/Brands.aspx to see how to make our school a cut above! We will have our first mailing to corporate headquarters on Friday, Oct. 26. Place your Box Tops in a baggie or envelope labeled with the students name, grade and homeroom teacher. Prizes will be awarded to a student in each grade level who brings in the most Box Tops! If you have any questions, please contact Robbin Smith at rsmith128@yahoo.com or call 4079487.
