Financial Reporting Manager


Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway is actively recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager. The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing a timely and accurate general ledger close process, including the preparation and/or review of internal and external financial reporting. Researches new technical accounting pronouncements to ensure full and proper disclosure in financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Works closely with external auditors on reporting matters. The Financial Reporting Manager supervises the monthly financial close process to ensure timeliness of the close process in accordance with an established financial close schedule. Ensures that all regulatory reporting requirements are met for federal and state regulatory agencies. Responsible for preparing all external financial reports. This includes balance sheet reporting, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements preparation, along with preparation of financial statement footnotes and other required schedules. Ensures that all periodic audit and/or review reports are prepared in a timely manner for internal management, auditors and external reviewers, in accordance with an established accounting and reporting schedule. Communicates with the Director of Finance and CFO on an on-going basis relative to reporting and disclosure issues. Coordinates submission of quarterly and annual reports (SEC like format) with senior management, outside accountants and note holders. Prepares quarterly financial presentations, including summary financial statements and other analytical information as requested by management. Maintains data room for financial reports and assigns new users to the data room as required. Regularly searches accounting update websites and literature for new accounting and/or reporting directives (FASB, SEC, AICPA, EITF, etc.). Researches new accounting pronouncements and prepares analysis of new pronouncements, particularly for its impact on the Companys financial accounting and reporting. Manages the accounting staff to ensure an efficient process flow from the general ledger accounts to the financial reports. Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and employees and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Payroll Coordinator
Empire City Casino Yonkers Raceway is actively recruiting a Payroll Coordinator. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the daily activities related to the processing and control of multiple weekly union and non union payrolls via Ceridian Latitude platform. Accountable for the disbursement of payroll checks and direct deposit advices, payment of payroll taxes for multiple FEINs and the reconciliation, control, disbursement and reporting of employees authorized and/or legally mandated payroll deductions. Assist end users in time entry, approval and processing of employee hours in the company integrated time and attendance system. Provide assistance to various departments in analyzing payroll and general ledger activity as well as other problems or questions regarding payroll and payroll expenses/liabilities. Handle special projects as assigned as well as assist in testing and verifying new computerized payroll enhancements for accurate functionality. Create and run various reports used for disbursements of voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions to various vendors, tracking of various payroll data for auditing and payroll compliance with various union agreements and labor law. Process various reports and queries that are used for year-end reporting, audits and on-going payroll research. Maintain and update employee payroll records for deductions, taxes, direct deposit, garnishments, union dues, etc. Responsible for year end processing including reconciliation, processing/distributing W-2s, processing special payments/adjustments. Responsible for processing tips within payroll as well as processing retroactive payrolls and off-cycle paychecks. The ideal candidate must have at least 5-10 years relevant experience in Payroll administration. Must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate strategies and implement policies. Ability to professionally interact with all levels of management. Successfully demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under deadline pressure, the ability to work well independently and as part of a team and the ability to handle confidential matters using sound judgment and discretion. Must have prior experience processing payroll within a union environment and filing paying tax deposits for multiple FEINs. Must have a thorough understanding of tip processing and as it relates to the Gaming Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (GITCA). Successfully demonstrate experience working with Ceridian Latitude, Time and Labor and Query Manager. Should possess strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll tax, legal and accounting requirements related to Payroll administration as well as internal processes related to Payroll administration. Must have excellent PC (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook), calculator and computerized integrated payroll system skills. . Minimum of 21 years old and must be able to obtain appropriate license pursuant to NYS Lottery and Racing and Wagering regulations.

Surveillance Operator Empire city Casino Yonkers Raceway is actively seeking a Surveillance Operator. The Surveillance Operator monitors activities of guests and employees on the floor, cage, change booths and count rooms by way of closed circuit television (CCTV) system and personal observation, for criminal activities and/or violations of regulations, policies and procedures, or internal controls. Responsible for maintaining close surveillance of all gaming and cash-handling areas. Must utilize necessary equipment to identify, record, and document illegal and/or unusual activities occurring in areas under surveillance and reports same to the Shift Manager or Director. Records video of questionable activities and makes written reports to the Shift Manager or Director. Monitors alarm system. Reviews recordings associated with jackpots. Income Auditor Empire City Casino is currently seeking an Income Auditor to audit internal paperwork from various departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, New York Lottery regulations and state and federal laws. The Income Auditor will assist in ensuring regulatory compliance through exception reporting, journal entries and data management. Cage Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service to casino guests through accurate and timely jackpot payouts and other cash transactions including check cashing and Lottery purchases. Cage Cashiers are also responsible for performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing as well as the accurate reconciliation of individual banks. Cage Cashiers must safeguard company assets through compliance with company and government regulations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and at least one year of heavy cash handling experience in a bank, check cashing facility or similar venue. Housekeeping Supervisor Empire City Casino is actively seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor. Supervisory responsibility for the Housekeeping Department. Schedules, supervises, directs, trains and develops housekeepers. Supervises, and may participate in, housekeeping services including, but not limited to, cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, waxing, polishing, and sanitizing of all facility areas. Ensures that facility areas are sanitary, clean and free of trash and debris, and restrooms are sanitized, cleaned and stocked on a regular basis. Oversight and supervision of housekeepers in performance of facility cleaning duties. Maintains a high quality property appearance. Assists in the selection, supervision, training and development of staff. Assists in ensuring timely response to all reports of safety hazards and proper communication and training in hazardous chemical handling. Compliance with all department and company policies and procedures, internal controls and government relations. Ability to read at a level sufficient to understand and comprehend chemical MSDS paperwork. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, mopping floors, using special solutions and disinfectants. Vacuum carpets in offices, guest areas and in the back-of-house. Clean with disinfectant throughout the facility. Must comply with all department and company rules, regulations, procedures, internal control and safety regulations. Must perform assigned tasks in a timely manner including all heavy and high-cleaning assignments. Upon completion of shift, returns all equipment to storeroom. Cleans equipment used and places soiled rags and mops in designated areas. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of cleaning experience in a commercial environment. Chef De Cuisine
The Chef De Cuisine will lead all kitchen development operations including all food development and preparation. The essential responsibilities of this position will include but, may not be limited to: Overseeing the daily activities and managing the performance and development of the culinary team ensuring that the highest standards are upheld. Must deliver an unparalleled guest experience. Execution of a strategic plan including forecasting, budget management, profit and loss accountability, portion and cost controls and inventories. The Executive F&B Management Team together with Empire City Casinos Beverage Director are actively recruiting for a Beverage Steward to join the culinary family at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway. Thru this challenging role, the ideal candidate will lead and assist in providing an essential vision to the stewarding operation. Maintaining and developing positive working relationships with all levels of staff as well as supporting the F&B team to reach common goals are essential. The Beverage Steward responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Ensure that all warehouse and bar team members work according to United States Public Health (USPH) standards Track inventory for all glassware, silver and china for all F&B outlets Track all sales of all types of drinks including beers, cocktails, wines, spirits and beverages for all F&B outlets To advise staff of unavailability, information relation to drinks, wines, etc., and any other relevant information in order to ensure the efficient operation of all bars on property. Carry out ordering of supplies as and when necessary. Communicate regularly and efficiently with Beverage Director and Bar Managers. Food and Beverage Floor Supervisor


Empire City Casino is actively recruiting Food and Beverage Floor Supervisors. Our Floor Supervisors are responsible for the training and development of our food service staff. Must ensure a positive guest experience and guarantee service standards are upheld. Must comply with all department and company policies and procedures. Must ensure the cleanliness of the Food and Beverage areas of our facility. Monitors for compliance with system and methods of control. The Floor Supervisor is authorized to void and correct staff errors. Makes certain that the proper inventory of restaurant stock and supplies is maintained. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of front of house supervisory experience in a fast paced environment.
