Questions that can change your life Part I Two friends Roshan & Rohit discuss about Kaun

n Banega Crorepati(KBC) and about some important questions which are answered in the Bible.

Rohit: Hi, Roshan Roshan : Hi, How are you? Its been a long time since we met. Rohit : I am fine. I heard that the response to KBC6 has been historic with 1.5 crore applications for participation Roshan : Who would like to miss an opportunity of winning Five Crores like Sushil Kumar did in KBC 5. But I could not watch the third episode. Rohit : You missed an important episode. Manoj Kumar Raina won 1 crore in that episode. Roshan : Just think that I am Amitabh Bacchhan and you are in the hot seat playing KBC with me. Rohit : You are thinking too much of yourself. Roshan : Just imagine. I am going to ask some questions from the Bible. Rohit : O.K What are the rules? Roshan : I will ask you 16 questions. You get the opportunity to answer all the questions even if you give a wrong answer. You will not get any money. But if you find the answers to all the questions, you will get something more

valuable which you cannot buy with even 5 Crores or any higher amount of money. Are you ready? Rohit :Yes. Roshan : Question No. 1 You know that the Bible says that God created the Heavens, earth and everything in it over a period of six days. Now tell me on which day did God create man? a) First c) Fifth b) Fourth d) Sixth

Rohit : I have read the book of Genesis Chapter 1 which gives an account of the creation, I know that God created the animals on the Sixth day and that he rested on the seventh day. But I have a doubt whether he created man on the same day he created animals. Roshan : What is your final answer? Rohit : I will choose option d i.e Sixth day Roshan : Lock kiya jaye Rohit : Yes Roshan : I initially thought you may be wrong but you are right. The Bible also says that God created man in his own image and likeness. We shall now go to Question no. 2 God had commanded man that he could eat freely of every tree in the garden of Eden except one. What is the name of that tree? a) Tree of paradise c) Tree of knowledge of good & evil b) Tree of life d) Apple Tree

Rohit : I know the answer for sure, it is option c Tree of knowledge of good & evil Roshan : You were confident and you are right. The answer is in Genesis Chapter 2 verse 17. Have read the subsequent chapters of Genesis? Rohit : Yes. Adam & Eve, the first man and woman of the earth, the father & mother of all mankind disobeyed Gods command. Due to the disobedience to Gods command sin, pain, sorrow, sweat, toil, thorns & thistles and death entered the world. The wickedness of man was great and increasing day by day. God was grieved that he made man on earth. He decided to destroy the world by flood waters. Only eight people comprising of Noah, his wife, his three sons along with their wives were saved. Roshan : Sorry to interrupt. I will ask the next Question What is the name of Noahs sons? a) Abel, Cain & Seth c) Jared, Enoch & Methuselah b) Shem, Ham & Japheth d) Enosh, Cainan & Mahalalel

Rohit : I think b is right but I want to be sure. Are there any life lines? Roshan : There are no life lines but the last four questions have only two options. Rohit : Okay. I will choose option b. Roshan: You are right. God wanted to end the problem of sin and the problems which arose because of disobedience of man. The only way to solve the problem was to give a sacrifice of a sinless man. Since there was no human being who was sinless God decided to send his own Son, who is referred to as the Second Adam to be born in this world and die on our behalf to give us salvation. Now with regard to coming of the Saviour the fourth Question is

Who prophecied that, "A virgin shall conceive and bear a son?" a) Ezekiel c) Amos b) Isaiah d) Micah

Rohit : I think the answer is b. Most prophesies about the life of Jesus are made by Isaiah. But I think there was at least one prophecy by Micah. I will go for option b. Roshan : Right answer. Isaiah prophesied about the birth of Jesus, Messiah about 700 years before his birth. There is an incident recorded in the gospel of Luke in which an angel appeared to Mary, a Virgin and informed that she would conceive and bear a son. Lets go to Question no.5 in this regard What is the name of the angel who appeared to Mary? a) Gabriel c) Joel b) Michael d) Mishael

Rohit : I think the answer is either a or b. I will go for option b Roshan : Is it your final answer. I am sorry you are wrong. It is the angel Gabriel who appeared to Mary and announced his birth. This is found in Luke 1: 26 33 Rohit : I can continue playing despite the wrong answer isnt it? Roshan : Yes. There is a popular verse in the Bible in which Jesus told the purpose of God sending his son. You have to complete the missing phrase. "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that _____ should not perish but have everlasting life." a) whosoever doeth good b) whosoever payeth his tithes

c) whosoever believeth in Him e) whosoever is born of woman

Rohit : The verse is in John 3 : 16 and the answer is whosoever believeth in Him , absolutely no doubt about it. It is the final answer. Roshan : You are absolutely right. Only begotten Son in the verse refers to Jesus Christ. Shall we go to the next question? Rohit : Yes Roshan : You would have read in the gospels about a miracle that Jesus performed, in which he fed more than 5000 people with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes. The Question is How many baskets full of pieces were left over after he fed the 5000? a) 4 c) 20 b) 12 d) 24

Rohit : From my childhood days, I know this miracle. Answer is option b i.e 12. Roshan : You would have read an incident in the Bible in which Jesus raised a man named Lazarus from the grave. Lazarus had been buried four days ago when Jesus raised him from the dead. My Question is In what city did Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead? a) Bethesda c) Nazareth b) Capernaum d) Bethany

Rohit : I have some doubt whether it is option a or option d. I will fix option d Roshan : You are right. Now lets go to the next question. Jesus was born in this world to die. He died as the blameless Lamb of God. Though he was blameless he went through the most painful form of capital punishment called crucifixion

Where was Jesus crucified? a) The Mount of Olives c) Jerusalem b) Golgotha d) The Hinnom Valley

Rohit : I know the answer for sure. It is option b Roshan : You are right. After Jesus died, he was buried in a tomb. The Question is Who owned the tomb where Jesus was buried? a)Joseph of Arimathea c) Nicodemus b) Simon the Cyrenian d) Joanna

Rohit : The questions are very easy. The answer is option a Roshan : Right. You know that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his burial. Question No.11 is To whom did Jesus first appear after His resurrection? a) Mary Magdalene c) Peter b) His mother Mary d) Matthew

Rohit : You had already told me during our discussion on Easter. The answer is option a, Mary Magdalene Roshan : You are right yet again. The Final Question in the first segment. Jesus had said that he would come once again to the earth. It is referred as His second coming What did Jesus say the angels would do at the time of His second coming? a) Blow the Trumphet b) Rejoice and be exceedingly glad. c)Judge the living and the dead d) Gather His elect from the four winds.

Rohit : I do not know the answer. Everything seems to be right. I will choose option a Roshan : I am afraid you are wrong. The right answer is option d. We now go to the second segment of this game. You have only two options Rohit : Then it must be easier. Roshan : Question No.13 Do you believe that the Bible is the Word of God? a) Yes b) No

Rohit : The scripture is given by the inspiration of God, so the answer is an absolute yes. Roshan : Question No. 14 Do you believe that there is Heaven and Hell? a) Yes b) No

Rohit : The Bible says that there is Heaven and Hell. I therefore choose option a Roshan : Question No. 15 Are you good enough to go to Heaven? a) Yes b) No

Rohit : The right answer is option b. Every human being is born in sin and separated from God. The Bible says that the good deeds that we do are not sufficient to take us to heaven. By myself I am not good enough for Heaven.

Roshan : Question No. 16 Has Jesus given you the ticket to Heaven(i.e eternal life)? a) Yes b) No

Rohit : Yes. Salvation is a gift that God has given to me. He has given it freely to me because he paid the price for the ticket to Heaven. I believe Jesus is the only way to Heaven. You have not given the answers for Question Nos. 13 to 16. Roshan : You are correct for all the questions 13 - 16. But the Bible says that it is appointed for every human to face Gods Judgement. One day Jesus will ask us some questions. It could be Why should I let you into Heaven. This is the most important question that we need to answer. Our Riches, accomplishments or good deeds are not good enough to take us to heaven. Rohit : When I asked Jesus forgiveness for all my sins and asked him to come into my heart and be my father, my life was changed. God became real to me. God has not only given me eternal life. He has filled my life with joy, peace & assurance that He is with me at all times. This has given me strength to confidently handle any difficult circumstance that we go through in life as humans. Roshan : This gift of God that you shared about cannot be purchased with any amount of money. That is why these questions are important for all of us to consider. Rohit : I enjoyed playing this game with you. But one day I want you to be in the hot seat and ask you question. Roshan : Your request is granted. O. K Bye Rohit : Thank You. Bye. See you soon.
