WA, NY, CA, imports The Apple season is winding down, as a result, some varieties are finished and other varieties are tight. The market is strong as the new crops are just about ready. Crops will be less than last year keeping the market strong. New York and Michigan will be extremely light due to last seasons weather. California growing areas are in full swing. Markets are weaker with strong supplies. The supply has stabilized in the various growing regions. Color and quality are good. Tighter supplies from Gautemala as quality issues increase. Markets have strengthened as production slows down. Quality is fair. Pack sizes will be smaller as the crop begins to slow. Markets are stable with fair quality. Supplies are good. Markets have tightened. Quality is fair with heavy bruising noted. We are on the downside of strawberry harvesting. Stemberries are not forecasted for two weeks. Supplies on stems are extremely limiteduntil Santa Maria begins in two weeks. Quality overall is good. Crops will be gapping in the next two weeks. Look for stronger markets with limited supplies. Good supplies and quality. Imports from Mexico and Chile are available. Markets are weaker as demand slows. Quality is improving with good supply. New crop product will be available in two weeks. Demand exceeds supply, pushing markets up especially on smaller size fruit. Regreening is still prevalent due to the heat in growing areas. Green and Red grape markets have remained stable, quality remains good. Black Grapes and Red Globes are also available. Quality and volume are fine. Cantaloupe and Honeydew markets have strengthened. Good supplies and quality on all Honeydews and larger sizes Cantaloupe. Supplies are steady with good quality. The Bosc variety has just begun from California. Quality has been good. Markets are strong based on supplies. Bartlett is the other main variety from California. Supplies have increased as the seasonal decrease in harvesting has passed. Brix has been averaging 13 with good internal gold color.
