Rape Victim Dismissal from Barlow on Twitter re: Assange Case thank you EFF for your great work in tech freedoms! i am sad though about the lack of equality in tech. we are faced with sexual harassment and harassment online for fighting for women's equality. and rape. we should be uniting and empowering women so we can help women globally break the cycle of violence. can you please---send me either the sexual harassment policy or an official explanation of apology regarding JP Barlow's attacking the validity of the rape victims complaints.

his calling me a troll by linking to my record of his tweet which reduces rape to "UNGENTLEMANLY" shows to me a large degree of disrespect and harassment of me for studying rape and for being a rape victim. since he doesn't believe the rape victims in sweden, i asked if he believes that i was really raped and almost killed. he then blocked me on twitter and made a comment about how ***too many people pretend to be victims, which is an insult to "real" victims*** i took this as a direct response to his previous bashing of me as a "troll." if it helps Barlow to understand, i have run a Rape Law blog for two years, and went to England AND Sweden extensively to study comparative rape law norms and have met Assange and scanned his lawyers case materials for his rape law defense website. Barlow deriding me as a "troll" is soooo Rude, and all too typical of the Gender Based Discrimination women face constantly online. when i have taken court notes, made many short films, written extensively about the case, and serve in a research capacity for the swedish rape law activists. One of the Rape Victims who Barlow demeans by saying her rape wasn't legitimate rape but merely "ungentlemanly" has been in touch with me about the constant harassment she gets online from assange fans. if this pushes her to suicide---the constant bullying will have killed her. bullying me for studying rape law is so shameful. I have been very vocal about assange's lawyers attacking the victims or allowing assange to cyber stalk them in retaliation for reporting rape. i was regarded as a very vocal supporter---until i got officially blacklisted and blocked from the wikileaks community for supporting rape victims rights, after enormous unsalaried service which ended in public denunciations and sexist attacks on me for studying rape law and having a unique perspective on the best interest of Assange in respect this case. i have been extremely verbally abused by people who think rape is ok.

i feel very bad JP Barlow has called me a troll for studying rape shield law violations from assange's legal strategy. he has passed judgement on the rape claims calling it merely "UNGENTLEMANLY" behavior, an insult to the personal rape victims. i did my best to get some information from Jaycox but found his tone dismissive to the severity of how bad this makes me feel. we spoke 38 minutes. he says he will take one week to find out if i am allowed to read the employment contracts on sexual harassment at the EFF or whether that is confidential. please, share this widely, and if anyone you know has been raped, harassed, or abused, let them know there is a safe atmosphere to make a complaint or to assist victims without being verbally abused to punish victims for reporting crime. other issues i study related to rape law include child marriage and honor killing in islam, which is slowly getting the attention it deserves from FBI and NYPD with the good work of educators in these fields.

if you have any information that will restore my sense of faith in the EFF please send to me. thank you for having open emails. i am aware that the EFF is trying to dissolve a chain of responsibility and distance itself from Barlow's commentary that rape is ungentlemanly and that rape charges are "spurious" i don't know who i would go to to report rape or sexual harassment when there is such little regard for the impact on rape survivors with this kind of dismissiveness. one friend and hero was a a teen when he was raped at boarding school. google "the boy who cried rape" to see how dismissively the media wanted to treat his rapes. similar to the ay Barlow acts. this hurt him immensely. i am also very interested in studying male on male military rape and Vatican child rape. i was very proud to have an email back from lawrence lessig regarding an attempted conference i initiated in london on the espionage grand jury and how concern for this can be dealt with with due respect to rape victims rights. with lessig's public open-ness about being raped, and my own public open-ness about being raped i hoped we could add a level of credibility and sensitivity to the Assange now completely botched insensitive rape victim stalking misogynistic defense, which has angered so many Rape Victims Rights groups.

i believe there should be something done more publicly and openly to encourage rape victims to feel safe supporting EFF besides calling us a troll if we stand up for women heaped with massive loads of death threats and hate. i would like to see a positive program of Equity in Place to remediate this fiasco and a personal apology. I think EFF is well-positioned to develop outreach to encourage Young Women towards tech and tech education and to discourage Sexual Harassment, Bullying, or Rape Victim Bashing in Tech or online. Women also should not be bashed for talking about rape online.

that would be a very positive outcome of this public dismissal of the Rape Victims complaints. As they have waited 2 years for justice, and Assange has found the Rape Loophole in ill-fangled Asylum law, the secondary victimisation they may experience at the hands of JP Barlow's dismissal of their rape claims publicly online and in the open.. now that Barlow has blocked me on twitter----perhaps i understand that he understands now this viewpoint of victim harassment to punish victims for reporting crime, is egregious and counteractive to justice. thanks very much to Rebecca who i spoke to this summer for her understanding of rape victims need for solidarity and equality in Tech! the need for personal demonstration of character and respect should haunt us all to our graves. if there is anyone wronged we should make restitution. i have been wronged by society which didnt take my rape seriously. i am vicariously wronged when i see other rape victims not taken seriously. i feel wronged by the EFF for not educating the Board of Directors on the PR implications of attacking rape victims publicly from a position of great honor and duty. i hope the culture will change and will look forward to a positive commitment from the EFF to supporting rape victims and Equality in Tech and a non-harassment policy. women should not be harassed for reporting they were raped. they should not be harassed for advancing rape victims rights and good rape law. that this has happened from a person on your Board, should be of concern, so that your employees and team are trained towards promoting an image of inclusion and a deep sensitivity for the obstacles women face. please send me something that will restore my hope for your commitment in the future of Equality at EFF and positive programs to eliminate the sexism and rape victimblaming that makes tech a painful subject to victims of gender based violence or sexual violence or sexual harassment. the Sexism effectively pushes us out of the INDUSTRY. if there is a best practices guideline for EFF conduct within the realms of free speech but also sensitive towards racism and sexism, tranhate, or homophobia, i would like to know about this policy. That assange has been citing a NeoNazi Party Founder on his rape defense website is such a tangled mess of racism and sexism, i am overwhelmed, but i successfully have got the story into the hands of a journalist oisin cantwell at aftonbladet---who has been attacked by the Racist Magazine Assange linked to the other day. I believe the Swedish Racist Magazine is punishing him for his criminal law coverage of the Anders Breivik Massacre. that assange will pad his defense website with Nazi Law Opinion form a Swedish racist cop killer Tony Olsson who writes his criminal law blog from prison, was astounding.

that he links to an overtty racist magazine, Fria Tider, painful as well.

that he promotes bloggers who cyberstalk his victims openly as proxy harassers is morally questionable to me, and in the USA may give rise to a cyberstalking or rape civil suit with severe damages.

that Barlow wants to affect the outcome for these rape victims by proliferating publicity dismissing their charges as ungentlemanly or spurious---to me is very ethically fraught and personally saddening. i appreciate anything you will send me in the future towards a better understanding. i am also totally open to forgiveness and compassion, and believe every criminal deserves an excellent defense. assange shoots himself in the foot to attack his rape victims. Barlow shoots assange in the foot to attack his rape victims.
