Production is the use of machines, tools and labor to produce goods for use or sale. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale. Such finished goods may be used for manufacturing other, more complex products which are then sold to the end users the "consumers". The production department is responsible for converting inputs into outputs through the stages of production processes. The Production Manager is responsible for making sure that raw materials are provided and made into finished goods effectively. He or she must make sure that work is carried out smoothly, and must supervise procedures for making work more efficient and more enjoyable. Research & Development They are responsible for the design and testing of new product processes and product types, together with the development of prototypes through to the final product. Production & Quality Purchasing department This department will provide the materials, components and equipment required. An essential part of this responsibility is to ensure that stocks arrive on time and are of good quality Production and planning. They will set the standards and targets at each stage of the production process. The quantity and quality of products coming off a production line will be closely monitored. The stores department The stores departments are responsible for stocking all the necessary tools, raw materials and equipment required to service the manufacturing process. The works department This department is concerned with the manufacture of products. This will include the maintenance of the production line and other necessary repairs. The works department may also have responsibility for quality control and inspection. Distribution & Logistics Distribution and Logistics encompasses a broad range of activities concerned with the efficient movement of finished products from the end of the production line to the consumer. Logistics is one of the main functions within a company. The main targets of logistics can be divided into performance related and cost related. They are high due date reliability, short delivery times, low inventory level and high capacity utilization. But when decisions need to be made, there is always a trade-off between these targets.

Production Department

Primary Objective: Coordinating production and production operations according to the company plans through the release of proper regulation and instructions, necessary for the achievement in terms and according with the quality requirements of the assumed production plans Tactical Goal: To assure and check the assimilation of expertise/information by the personnel necessary for the accomplishment of the established assignments, setting for each a job description and detailed procedures for execution, so that the department members know precisely the assumed tasks. Tactical planning

Goal: to ensure a high quality for products, simultaneously with minimization of costs

Measures: -continuous monitoring of the production process -making regular product quality check-ups -choosing the advanced technology , necessary for the adequate working environment and technical conditions -to provide the raw materials of high quality , materials firstly acquired at competitive prices. Duration: Permanent, during the whole activity of the company . Simultaneously, the time for implementation of a new collection ( from the design to mass production) will not last more than 12 months . Resources: -Materials (computers , equipment and machinery for textile production such as winding machine , textile cutting ,machine , wire tensioner , fabric shear , engraving machine , automatic edge protection machine for fabric edges , sewing machines , cloth folding machine , fabric inspection and measuring machine with platform , dying equipment , laundry washing machines, laundry drying machines etc.)
