Along with the early hard freeze, drought conditions will persist or expand over the West, while improve in the East. Drought will even expand across the Western Corn Belt, Northern Plains, Northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest for the rest of the year!

After THE FREEZE rains finally get going across the Central Plains, halting harvest while providing spotty planting and emergence moisture too. Monday-Wednesday Rains continue across the C Plains and Corn Belt late next week (Thur -Sat), further delaying harvest but bringing additional planting moisture for winter crops too.
