When does the WBI start/stop?

Responses After completing the online application process, the instructor calls the family to set up an interview. Then a 30-45 minute interview/Q&A session is conducted via telephone to ensure the program and student/family is a good fit The prep course is offered to the family as soon as the student is accepted into the program. It should be completed prior to the start of school but will be available for reference throughout the school year

How do the learners know how to access the course?

How do the learners know how they are doing in the course? Instructor emails the course URL, username and password information to the parent and instructions to complete the prep course Instructor follows up with parent by email after each Google quiz is completed and provides correct information for any mixed questions

Technical Requirements Are the technical requirements for communication and distribution in place? Is there a required plug-in for the course? What are the communication tools for participants?

Responses Parents are provided with the instructor's email address, phone number and office hours immediately following the interview. Java- link to URL to download included in email with BB URL, UN & PW from instructor to learners.

Do participants need online skills training?

Instructor talks with each parent weekly after individual student lesson. Email is responded to in less than 24 hours during office hours Parent will email instructor when each Google quiz is completed and instructor will email back feedback within 24 hours during office hours The objective of this prep course is to train parents and students on all tech and other skills required for the full course If preliminary skills are missing (connecting to the Internet, opening a web browser, typing in a URL, logging into a website, etc.) the instructor will set up a 1:1 time for the parent to teach these skills.
