ImW YORK \110RLD'S FAIR, October 10 --- Edward C ~ Maguire,
Labor Relations Counsel to the New York World's Fair 1964-1965
Corporation, stated that the Fair Corporation never has been nor
will it ever be the agent or representative of an,- Union. At
no time has a:ny representative of the Fair Corporation "admitted"
that it violated an agreement concerning trucks that will be
admitted to the Fair site. It is not a party to any such asreement.
Every exhibitor and contractor on the site is obligated not
to employ or allow to be employed on the work which he has under-
taken on the site or in connection with the site, men, methods or
means which may cause or tend to cause work stoppages, strikes,
picketing or other cause for delay or interference with the execu-
tion or progress of the work or with the operations or the Fair.
The Fair Corporation expects them to carry out their obligation.
We will continue as we have in the past to cooperate with
both management and labor involved in the interest of peace and
progress on the work.
