The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creato r of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understandi ng no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:2831 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God th rough our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into th is grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that sufferi ng produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:1-5 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 8:28 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in ever ything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart s and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whate ver is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or p raiseworthy think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
