Key: [Incident], [Location], [Military Time] Burglary, 900 block of Vinci Ave, 0442, Officers responded to a burglary in progress. A home owner awoke to find a known subject inside of his home. When confronted by the homeowner the subject fled. While searching the area officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Burglary, 2100 block of Grand Ave, 1418, Officers saw a subject running across interstate 80 near Winters Avenue. Contact was made with this subject and it was determined that he was a suspect in a burglary that had just occurred near the area he was seen coming from. Domestic Violence, 2200 block of Grand Ave, 1732, While on patrol an officer was hailed by a female victim regarding a domestic violence incident. A thorough search for the known suspect was conducted. The suspect was unable to be located and a report was taken.

SEPTEMBER 19, 2012


Vehicle Accident, 1500 block of Arden Way, 0008 Police were dispatched to a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling on Arden Way. The injured pedestrian was transported to UC Davis Med Center and is expected to survive his injuries. Robbery, 2300 block of Boxwood St, 1105 Officers were dispatched to a home invasion robbery. The suspect approached the victim while outside the home and forced her inside. He threatened the victim with a knife and stole property before fleeing. The suspect was described as Hispanic male adult, 6', slim with short black hair wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He fled in a vehicle being driven by a white male adult. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. CSI responded to the scene. Warrant, 200 block of Christine Dr, 1656 Officers served a search warrant and confiscated four firearms. An explosive device was also located and rendered safe by Sacramento Police Department EOD unit. Two subjects were arrested on multiple weapons charges. Subject Stop, Grand Ave / May St, 1458 Officers contacted a subject and later arrested him for an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop, Hayes Ave / Altos Ave, 2220 Police attempted a stop on a vehicle and a short pursuit ensued. Antonio Lerma, 46, then ran from the car, but was ultimately caught by police. Lerma was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, evading arrested and a possession for sales narcotics charge.

SEPTEMBER 20, 2012


Assault , Dixieanne Avenue / Cantalier St, 0025 Police responded to a subject that had been stabbed. The victim and suspect got into a verbal argument. During the verbal altercation the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim ran away and police were called. The victim was treated for a non-life threatening injury at a local hospital. Domestic Violence, 4000 block of Taylor St., 1220 Officers responded to a domestic violence call. The female victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. A report was taken. Arrest, 3800 block of Clay St., 1744, Officers responded to attempt to locate a subject with a warrant. Upon arrival the subject, Cornelius Humphrey-53, fled from officers and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. No injuries were reported. Traffic Stop, North Street / Pinell Street, 1856 Officers conducted a traffic stop. A search of the vehicle was done and a loaded gun was located. One of the two occupants was arrested and booked into jail without incident.

SEPTEMBER 21, 2012


Vehicle Accident, 200 block of Lindley Drive, 0957 Officers responded to a vehicle collision. Officers arrived and discovered a car had driven into a converted garage. There was a single occupant and dog inside the garage at the time of the incident. Both the resident and dog were uninjured. No injuries were reported by the driver and she was booked into Sacramento County Jail for DUI. Disturbance, 400 block of Del Paso Blvd, 1114 Officers responded to several subjects gathered and possibly upset over being denied service. Officers monitored the situation and no incidents occurred. Burglary, 4800 block of Wind Creek Dr, 1310 Victim was sleeping in his home when he was awoken by noises inside the house. The startled homeowner yelled out. This apparently scared off the suspect as they fled the home without taking any items. Robbery, 2000 block of El Camino Ave, 1324 Police were called regarding a robbery to a business. The suspect, armed with a gun, was described as a juvenile male. The suspect demanded cash from the two employees and fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Bicycle Stop, Lily St / Harris Ave, 1418 Officers contacted a bicyclist for an infraction violation. It was determined that the subject was under the influence of narcotics and the subject was taken into custody. A search was completed and methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia was located. Sexual Assault, 3500 block of Auburn Boulevard, 2100 Police were notified of a possible sexual assault. Officers responded and a report was taken. This investigation is ongoing.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2012


Attempt Pick-Up, 3700 block of Natoma Way, 0331 Officers arrested James Baker, 59, on an outstanding warrant. Baker was taken into custody without incident Traffic Control, Winters St / North Ave, 1200 Officers assisted Sacramento Fire Department with road closures. A private company accidently hit an inground gas line with a blade causing a gas leak. One home was evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2012


Subject Stop, El Camino Ave / Colfax St, 0153 Police contacted subjects near a car and saw a firearm inside the vehicle. One subject became uncooperative and ultimately ran from officers. That subject ran from police and eluded capture. The weapon was booked into evidence.

SEPTEMBER 24, 2012


Suspicious Circumstance, 3500 block of Northgate Blvd, 1132 Officers responded to a report of a suspicious device found outside a local business. EOD responded, investigated and found the device to be a small incendiary device. EOD disposed of the device. Investigation is in progress.
