Charley Macaulay
Charley Macaulay is just 19 years old, but has already crammed an enormous amount into her short career. Charley came to prominence winning the under 18s section of the national competition Live and Unsigned, blowing away 10,000 other hopefuls as she did so. This was closely followed by chart success, with her rst single Superman, reaching Number One in the UKs Undiscovered Chart. Not a bad start!

Scarlet Soho
Inuenced as much by Faith No More as they are by The Human League and Depeche Mode, Scarlet Soho have always known how to mash genres to create perfect pop. And, like those bands, they stamp their own clear sound and personality on everything they do.
Welcome Pariah
Of the countless bands who take their inuence from the 90s, Welcome Pariah triumph because they cast their roots further a-eld. While heroic images painted through subtle riot-inducing numbers draw blood from the chalice of the Brit Pop ilk, theres a rhythmic tide throughout that suggests Ray Davis swallowed Urban Hymns

Southampton Festivals is born out of a passion that we share for the City of Southampton, a passion we want to share with everyone. We seek to support the existing events and provision that identify the city; those which mark it as an exciting, inclusive and progressive cultural center. We want to celebrate the citys culture, Its rich heritage, its people and their talents. Through engagement with the communities that live in and around the city, along with the institutions they are part of and the businesses they work for we intend to encourage participation in and support for existing and future public events. A key part of our role is to encourage and coordinate the sharing of resources and information, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and sponsorship. By celebrating and showcasing what we have; by creating new opportunities and ways of getting involved we hope to identify Southampton as a center of cultural vibrancy and excellence.
