ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to identify and quantify the main factors leading to the increase in food price at UMP students cafeterias and suggest possible solutions in order to standardize the food price for student satisfaction. The first phase of the study had a focus on the study background, objectives, research questions and definition of terms. The second phase involved the analysis of the survey and critical evaluation of the study. A survey questionnaire was distributed to eighty UMP students. The findings revealed that the main factor deciding the food price was greatly affected by the food price in Kuantan restaurants. The solution, therefore, was to streamline the price for both restaurants and cafeterias in UMP.
