You will see the picture flashes for a moment then picture blanks out. This could be caused by the D2 board, D3 board, or the panel. If you observe the picture prior to shutdown you can isolate the problem to the defective part. This is easily seen with a solid test pattern or with the tuner as the source with no signal applies to the unit.

1) observe the panel prior to shutdown, one corner should be darker. Match it with one of the six symptom photos. 2) If the picture is dark on the entire left side as in Symptom Photo 1. Then replace the D3 board. 3) If the picture is dark on the entire right side as in Symptom Photo 2. Then replace the D2 board. 4) If the picture is dark in one coner as in Symptom Photo 3 to Symptom Photo 6 you can isolate the problem down to the the board or panel, swap CN6900 and CN6902 on the D3 board and CN6700 and CN6754 around on the D2 board. If the dark spot moves from top to bottom or bottom to top the board is the problem. If the dark spot remains it its original location then the panel may be defective.

To prevent a repeat repair. Please ensure that CN6900 and CN6902 on D3 board CN6700 and CN6754 on D2 board ARE SECURELY PLUGGED IN THEIR CONNECTOR

After the install of the D2 board, D3 board, or the panel the picture has a dark strip that runs down the center of the screen. This is easily seen with a solid test pattern or with the tuner as the source with no signel applies to the unit. Check that CN6700 and CN6754 on the D2 board or CN6900 and CN6902 on the D3 board has not been mistakenly swapped over after D2 board, D3 board, or the panel.

Example dark picture in the center if CN6700 and CN6754 on the D2 board or CN6900 and CN6902 on the D3 board are swapped.
