Autumn Leaves
Hello students and parents. Fall has officially arrived, even though you can fry an egg on the sidewalk!
I am sorry I skipped over September. But, October is here, which means Halloween is upon us! I love this time of year. In fact I started listening to my Halloween playlist around September 20th! In this issue I'll share some of the music from my list.
I hope these newsletters bring you joy, inspiration, laughter and information. As always feel free to email, text or give me a call with any questions, or plain old confusion with this newsletter or any other aspect of the studio! Enjoy!

If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be: If I could go anywhere in the world it would be to Nagashima Spa Land in Mie, Japan to ride The Steel Dragon 2000 rollercoaster
What do you like about playing the piano: What I like is that it lets me express my emotions in many different ways. There is a song for absolutely every feeling you will ever have
Any other instruments you play/ enjoy listening to : I do not play or enjoy listening to any other instrument Other favorite songs or composers/ artists: My favorite song is Slippin Around by Martha Mier
I am a new junior high tween kid who loves to sing and make new friends

Any other instruments you play/enjoy listening to : I played cello in junior high and high school. When I went to college music majors had to pick an ensemble, a musical group, but all the spots for pianists in chamber music were taken (I eventually joined my second year.) This led me to Collegium Musicum, a group that plays medieval, renaissance, and baroque music. My rst class I was thrown onto the harpsichord. The next year, I learned how to play viola da gamba. This instrument is similar to a cello but has the same amount of strings as a guitar. It is also held with your legs, and the bow is held underhand, the way a bassist would hold it. I would love to play these instruments again!
Chocolate or fruit avored candy: Chocolate always comes rst for me! That is why I thought this would be a fun question. I always wonder who prefers one over the other. Share any other fact(s) about yourself: I love Disneyland a lot, cartoons, stickers, dancing and dogs!
Other favorite pieces/songs or composers/artists: To name a few: -Go Tell Aunt Rhody - Folk Song -Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major Op. 102 - Dmitri Shostakovich -Carnival of the Animals - Camille Saint-Sans -Man in the Mirror - Michael Jackson -Piano Quintet No. 1 in C Minor, Op 1 - Ern Dohnanyi
Favorite book, show, movie: I'm terrible with favorites so again to name a few: -The Princess Bride ( Book and Movie ) -Roman Holiday -Disney's Aladdin -Spongebob Squarepants (only the rst 4 seasons!) -Once Upon a Time - Nurtured by Love by Shinichi Suzuki
