Orient Tvc Treatment note

The brightly lit breezy room along with cozy cushions, flowing curtains is filled with art lovers. Its the gathering of the elite, people who understand good literature and also respect it. A few paintings adorn the walls and we see an elevated platform where our protagonist sits surrounded by a few others, facing the audience. Pastel shades dominate the settings with the walls, carpets, gaddi, cushions, curtains and even the costumes of those present belonging to the lighter side of the colour wheel. The kavi sits along with five others on the elevated platform (gaddi) with the support of cushions while the audience sits on chairs arranged neatly on two sides with an aisle in between. The microphones are set right in front of the lead poet who is dressed in traditional chikan sherwani representing the culture of shero shayari. He can also be flaunting a lukhnowi style topi making him look nothing less than a born poet. The others are clad in white and cream coloured kurta payjamaswith embroidered jackets giving a very traditional feel to the settings. A chandelier can be adding to the decor of the room. Overall the furnishings have a very ethnic feel providing full support to the kavita being read by the poet. Though the room will be well lit but the lighting will not be high contrast. Soft lighting, which will blend well with the pastels, will perhaps make the ambience rich and warm. Our protagonist belongs to the age group of 30-35 yrs while the audience; mostly men are all middle-aged people. The lead kavi will bear a witty look on his face and will add Rasa to his recitation in a complete romantic mood. However he is not at all a clown like clumsy character and gives the impression of a somber well-read poet. The lady of the film represents style, sophistication and classiness. She adorns a bright colored chiffon saree giving us a glimpse of her fine curves. Her glittering light jewellery along with her sparkling eyes puts her in the limelight. She listens intently to the poet and appears to have refined taste in poetry. She appreciates the kavita and also gracefully acknowledges the compliments being showered on her. She plays with her long lustrous hair, blushes and smiles. Its only towards the end she comes to know that its the fan being talked about. She is embarrassed and looks up with amused expressions. The well delivered dialogues, amusing expressions and reaction shots of the artists will form the core of the film.
