Presentation Presenting the (15 Minutes) adverbs.

1. Teacher asks students what have they done just now. 2. Teacher writes students responses on the board and stress on the adverbs. 3. Teacher draws students attention to the adverbs used.

Teach students about adverbs. Give example based on the action they just did earlier so that students can relate the knowledge and understand better.

4. Teacher gives more examples to the students by using few pictures. -Picture 1: the coach explained clearly how the players should play the game. -Picture 2: the players quickly ran after the ball. -Picture 3: Belaja scored easily from the penalty kick. -Picture 4 The crowd of spectators cheered loudly. 1. Teacher shows the students 2 videos. -Video 1: The lazy polar bear. -Video 2: Basketball shots by an NBA player. 2. Teacher shows the first video to the students. 3. Teacher asks students what can they see from Video 1. e.g.: -What is in the video? -What is the polar bear doing? 4. Teacher writes students responses on the board and makes a sentence based on their answer(s). e.g.: The polar bear is walking lazily.

Practice (10 Minutes)

Writing sentences with adverb.

Practice on using adverb by doing guided writing. Short clips are used so that students have more ideas on constructing the sentences. Teacher prepares student before writing sentences by asking what they just watched.

TA short video clips, any clips can be used, but make sure it involves significant physical movement so that it is easier for the students to construct sentences using adverb.

5. Teacher shows the second video to the students. 6. Teacher asks students what can they see from Video 2.

e.g.: -What can you see from the video? -What is the ballerina doing? -How do they dance? 7. Teacher writes students responses on the board. 8. Teacher asks each student to construct their own sentences based on what they see from the video and includes the appropriate adverbs. e.g.: The basketball player aimed sharply at the net. 1. Teacher divides the students into three groups. 2. Each group is given a different worksheet. 3. Students are required to finish up the required task.

Production (15 Minutes)

Closure (3 minutes)

1. Teacher highlights the adverbs. 2. Teacher says few adverbial clause and students do the actions. e.g. -Jump happily! -Smile sweetly. -whisper softly.

Students are divide into different ability group. Group 1 is given a task on guided writing write sentences based on adverb and picture given. Group 2 completing sentences. Group 3 fill in the blanks with appropriate adverbs. Re-emphasize the use of adverbs by doing physical movement students can see how adverbs are used in everyday activities. Check students understanding of adverb and new vocabulary.

TA 3 worksheets that are differ in difficulty.

Teacher looks at students response first, do not demonstrate unless it is necessary to check students understanding.
