AUGUST 2012

Well its my turn.celebrating 64 years on the 23rd

Wow I cant believe I am having my 64 birthday. Heres a little history on my birth. I was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany. My mom was full-German and my dad was an American of Norwegian decent. He was in the army when they met; she worked in a dry cleaning shop. Its amazing how two people can communicate when neither can speak each others language but Love can do it! I was three months old when I came to America. My mother received naturalization papers in 1949 with having an American child born aboard and an American husband. In fact I thought she had citizenship papers and just recently found out via Ancester.com she had naturalization papers. I ordered the papers via the Delaware archives. Update on my health: the medications are working and I am healing daily which I know I have to set limits of what I do. The bloods test came back normal except one. I am making it with Jesus, He is my healer!

By Mark Scolforo Associated Press - Harrisburg, PA- Pennsylvania's highest court is moving quickly to determine how to respond to a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that mandatory life-without-parole sentences for juveniles aren't constitutional. The Sentencing Project, an advocacy group based in Washington, has said Pennsylvania leads the nation in the number of juvenile lifers. The state Supreme Court scheduled oral argument for September 12th in a pair of cases that will determine what to do about the hundreds of people serving such sentences, as well as how to handle the issue going forward. The 5to-4 U.S. Supreme Court decision issued June 25 still makes it possible for juveniles to get life, but it can't be automatic. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections says 373 lifers were under age 18 at the time they were sentenced.

In another article by Pennsylvania Independent News here is a quote from Mark Bergstrom, executive director for state policy organization Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing, said swift action is necessary to address past, present and future cases. Any solution constructed for Pennsylvania will need to provide both a process for the review of the offenders and their offense as well as sentencing options that provide courts with discretion required to impose proportionate sanctions for juvenile offenders, he said. We will keep you updated as more information in released and please continue to pray as this goes forward to be heard in the PA courts and committees. I have written Senator Greenleaf and wait to hear from him when the PA senate reconvenes in September.

II Corinthians 2:4 & 14 NKJV For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. There is something inside us all that wants to be in charge of our lives. We want to tell God how we want Him to do things. We want to be in control and think we have everything figured out. When all your plans finally come together and everything looks wonderful the bottom falls out. You may not have any trouble today, but it will eventually find its way to your house. Trouble is Gods way of developing your faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. God is in the process of teaching you about faith. He never intends for you to get so comfortable that you dont have to pray anymore. Then you give your life to the Lord you can bet you are going somewhere. He is taking you from glory to glory. (2nd Corinthians 3:18). You are on the road of faith. The Bible says that your steps are ordered by God. (Psalm 37:23). The reason things keep changing is because He is taking you somewhere. He is the Potter and we are the clay. ( Isaiah 64:8) In Hebrews 11:6 it says that without faith it is impossible to please God. God allows storms to strengthen us and teach us about faith in Him. Your problems do not move God, but Remember Your your prayers do. Jesus said, Ask anything in My name and I will do it for you. (John 14:13) Best Days Are He wants us to quit looking to people for answers and look to Him. We pray Still Ahead! over everything and worry over nothing. God wants you to be totally dependent upon Him! Philippians 4:19 says, that He meets all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. When you pray it can seem that God never shows up early. He teaches us about faith, by making us wait. God will allow you to stand on the edge of a cliff and pull you back to safety just before you fall. God doesnt work by formulas; we must have faith in Him and not methods. God has a lot of different ways to bless and help you. Dont put God in a box! Dont be discouraged about your future, you are going somewhere. God has a plan and you are not going to stay where you are. Dont judge your future by where you are today. God is teaching you to walk by faith not by sight. (II Corinthians 5:7) Remember Your Best Days Are Still Ahead! I love this message that Tom preaches its one of my favorites.
