A WARRIOR QUEEN She sacrificed herself for her people, she leaded a great number of people to fight against

Roman Empire. But, why did she do such a big sacrifice? Why was she so angry with Rome? Boudicca was about eighteen when she married Prasutagus, the future king of Iceni in that time, so she was the older enough to be aware of all the happenings between Rome and Britain. Nowadays, Boudicca is one of Britain's greatest heroines who was a freedom fighter who rebelled against the Roman government. The great warrior queen, as also known, is remembered for her passionate attempts to free herself and her tribe from the Roman Empire had a lasting impact for many aspects of history. For instance, the rebellion was a crucial moment in early British history as a result of it the Romans made certain that their installations were secure and that the Briton population never more posed a threat. Since, her main objective was to get back women dignity and freedom to her town, Boudicca has also served as a heroine and role model for early feminism and inspiration, especially during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. As historians and writers has described, she has left the legacy of strong female leaders in the British Isles past, as well as the legacy of being viewed as an icon of nation resistance for the British and serving as an important cultural symbol. What I admire the most from Boudicca is her courage to fight for her country, for her people, and most important, for her family and for herself. That is a clear sign that woman are also able of leading a rebellion and if that were not enough of winning a battle. Even though, she lost the final battle she never let the Romans conquer her. For todays 21st century, she would serve as an inspiration of hope, showing to people, especially the youngest, that any of us can be a good leader, no matter if we are men or women. This fact also might change the idea of thinking that men are better or are able to do better things than women, which is still believed in our country. For sure, any person who reads about Boudicca could change her mind in relation to chauvinism because she has shown that she just not tried to free from the roman rule, but she did. Although she poisoned herself and lost the last battle, at the end her country won what she wanted, honor and respect. Al in all, the roman conquest had brought to the Iceni misfortune that ended in a complete disaster after their rebellion failed. But as time passed , Britain become an orderly and respected part of the roman empire, that means the Boudiccas

people finally won, as I mention above, what they had wanted all along: respect, peace, and a government that treated them with justice and honor. And this left the moral of never give up our dreams and wishes.
