Tim: Where and when were you born? Keyz: 18th, August, 1985 in Kings College Hospital, South London. Tim: Whats your earliest memory? Keyz: Sitting in a corridor writing random rhyming words on floral paper, playing De La Soul and Kool G Rap in the cassette player, I would have been about 4 at the time. Tim: What or/& who influences your life? Keyz: Influences, I'd say my life experiences, things I've seen and been through and the people I've met. My Mom is a huge inspiration so I guess she influences me too. Tim: What or/& who influences your music? Keyz: Music influences... They range from the Golden Oldies Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, to Michael Jackson (His musical ear was phenomenal) Rappers too Jay-Z, Nas, 2pac, Biggie including the old skool rappers Kool G Rap, De La Soul, Big Daddy Kane and Big Pun. I listen to all genres, all styles and flows and just try and find something more clever and unique. Tim: Have you a favourite Place? Keyz: My fav place has to be home. Thats where the magic happens, my second home is Rosedale, Queens (NYC), so I make things happen there too! Tim: What is your favourite Word? Keyz: My fav word believe it or not is "oh" haha. It's my automatic response to most things. krazed Page 4
Tim: Addictions (if any)? Keyz: Anyone who knows me will know I'm addicted to 3 things. INK, FOOTWEAR and MUSIC in no particular order! I Love them all! Tim: When did you get the bug for performing? Keyz: That bug attacked my system at an early age, I've been performing since I was 3. I started off just doing dance performances, 5 years later I was rapping and dancing telling everyone I wanted to be a rapper or a vet! Performing gives a crazy rush. Love it. Tim: What advice would you give any up & coming artist? Keyz: Well I'm an up & coming artist myself, but I'd say to anyone. Don't stop trying, push hard, experiment and never stop doing your homework!!! The industry is crazy!!!! Tim: What would Keyz Kamiko like in her future? Keyz: What would I like... Mmmm... Piles of success and smiles... Lots of love and a good life. Happiness is key. Lets get it! Trapped thoughts evolve into ink beneath my skin Visual aids so you can see the life that I'm living I lost wanting to be free I am art in it's truest form, whether I am or I speak too lazy to retrieve it Wearing an exhibition, whenever I walk down the street. people have illnes and disease s Requests to embrace my story from the people I meet starving people over sea' s Twisting my limbs, so they can take their time and read... burying my head into my pillow claiming lifes on its knees I'm a leo. confidence and motivation they own Some would I say... that means I love the light makes me look so petty They don't know what that means half of the day is night. yet every night I sit alone Though I'm not a vampire, darkness is my team player making conver sations with my spaghetti At night I write, I think, and put ink into my first layer coz Ive pushed everyone away My legs become victims to voltage and part of the canvas I gues Im partly grieving s Whilst my ears listen to instruments and my brain thinks slowly none of them want to stay of... Ill shake there hand as there leaving Im the guy bringing them down Stanzas. their black cloud of fun 16 bars come to me on a cloud of inspiration, so I repeat I try to hide behind a smile them yet Im still over run Until my hand rests from it's ink blasts and takes up a they say the most sarcastic pen are the ones with the most to hide Tomorrow that will be added to the Kamiko collection my sense of humour becoming drastic So I'll wake and do the same thing, creating art in its been so long since I cried blessings a mind so blank it died Thankful for all I have, I absorb surroundings and reflect a new life is something I tried all of a sudden I relapsed Music serves as bannisters, while all arts are my steps.
where sinking brought new heights every shift had a number of fights now I sit away from the lights. had a breakdown working nights now it just tends to hide
