at 7:30 p.m. in the Annex of
Grosse Pointe Unitarian
Church on the third Monday
of the month in September,
October, November and April
and on the fourth Monday in
January and February. Or
join us on one of our many
spring field trips to birding
hotspots in the Grosse
Pointe area.

Audubon welcomes you.
Our mission
Our organization serves the
Grosse Pointes, Harper
Woods and St. Clair Shores
to promote the awareness,
understanding, enjoyment of
and stewardship of the envi-
ronment with an emphasis on
birds and their habitats. We
accomplish our mission
through our educational
programs and community serv-
ice projects, financial sup-
port of Seven Ponds Nature
Center in Dryden, Mich., and
through our field
trips.
Grosse Pointe
Audubon is a
chapter of Michi-
gan Audubon, our
state’s oldest
conservation or-
ganization. MAS’s
goal is to study
and preserve wild
birds, plants, ani-
mals and their
habitats and to teach the
public of their importance.
Bet You Didn’t Know...
Southeastern Michigan is on a
major flyway, and migrating
birds use the shore of Lake
St. Clair as a freeway on
their trips to and from the
breeding grounds. Because of
that, more than 200 species of
birds have been documented
in our area! One other thing
you probably didn’t know:
Grosse Pointe Audubon has
more than 100 members!
