Chapter 1 PROCRASTINATION AMONG NEU-BSA STUDENTS

This chapter presents the statement of the problem, assumption, significance of the study, scope and delimitation and definition of terms.

Introduction Have you ever procrastinated before? Of course you have, we all have. Procrastination is feeling that you know you should do something but you dont do it. For some people, procrastination is a minor threat in their lifestyle or routine management. But for others it is just a minor thing that should not be given an important attention maybe because they are not aware of procrastination or procrastination to them is a part of their life that does not give any minor or major effect. In conquering procrastination, one must understand first why he procrastinates. Although procrastination sometimes is a product of nowhere and unexplainable, procrastination stems in a one root cause. All procrastination is caused because taking of unhelpful rules and assumptions. When energy is depleted doing something painful in your condition is a heavy burden instead doing recreation or anything that is less frustrating is the best choice. Thinking too much in your fears and traumas is also one factor that affects your procrastination. It may drive you to take an action or worst, drive you to resist an action. Here at New Era University, according to my English professor, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students are popular as procrastinators. They are popular in delaying certain tasks. Rush is their greatest key whenever deadline is off to end. In this study, we will discover the reasons or the unhelpful rules and assumptions inside them that affect their current procrastination condition.
