MAJOR SUIT AGAINST RATHBUN OWNERS BETTE AND GEORGE GLOVER FILED IN PIMA COUNTY SUPEROR COURT
Over the past ten days the local media has been remarkably silent about the scandal at Rathbun Realty, Inc., and the theft of two million dollars, an amount greater than all the money stolen in blue collar, strong-arm, Arizona Bank Robberies over the past year. However; if you thought media silence means, since its white collar crime done by the Good Old Boys, the whole affair is now being swept under the rug, as usual, you would be wrong, dead wrong. Significant Event: On September 19, 2012 Texas outfit Morningside Funding LLC filed suit in Pima County Superior Court (C20125727) alleging, amongst other things, that the Rathbun Crew (these folks move money between so many corporations its hard to remember them all) Ripped Off their clients for $75,000.00 and change, making it the largest single case filed against Rathbun to date, on behalf of a single entity, subsequent to the Warden Judgment of $112,000.00 on March 29, 2012 and the Rathbun Notice of Bankruptcy, filed on September 21, 2012. Of course, none of the above takes into account the 1.8 to 2.0 million that Rathbun itself announced, on August 21, 2012, was embezzled from Client Trust Accounts, by former employee Cassandra King, who in turn has said Bette Rathbun (1) took the money from the Trust Accounts in a scheme to avoid paying the Warden Judgment, and (2) used a large portion of the money to pay for a prolifigate lifestyle, which included $70,000.00 Cadillacs and season tickets to U of A games. Youd think such an important story would be front page news in the Old Pueblo, but again youd be dead wrong.

You see, the Pima County Media Establishment protects the Good Old Boys who in turn contribute mightily to the Media Establishment: (aka Circle Jerk) Last year alone Rathbun paid nearly $250,000.00 in advertising to local TV outlets which goes a long way in explaining just why the media, in the interests of protecting their revenue stream, has in turn, protected Rathbun Realty. In the Good Old Days in their proper role as reporters of the news, the Media Mantra was: All The News Thats Fit to Print. Now, in their role as Corporate Shills for the Good Old Boys, the Local Media re-define their purpose by borrowing a phrase from the Tucson Police Department; We are Ready to Protect and Proud to Serve the Interests of the Establishment. And who gets screwed? Well, Roy Warden out of $112,000.00 for one, but who cares about HIM, right? Well then, how about caring for the 800 Arizona property owners who trusted Rathbun to protect their interests? How about 1.8 to 2 million dollars stolen by Rathbun from We, The (little) People?
