Have you ever been convicted of a crime, been disciplined by a professional licensing board/organization or had an ethics violation filed against you? If so, please give the details. Minor traffic violations only. 2. Have you ever filed for bankruptcy, been delinquent on your taxes or other major accounts, or been sued personally or professionally? If so, please give the details. No. 3. Why should people vote for you? What separates you from your opponent(s)? I have a consistent record of working effectively with a variety of groups and individuals. My business and volunteer leadership experiences are strong assets. People may not always agree with my decisions, but I am willing and able to listen and take others viewpoints into consideration in coming to common ground to help move good ideas forward. My experience and relationships would be the advantage in helping our state and community. 4. What are the three most important issues you would address if elected? How? (75 words for each
issue)

A. Continue to promote private sector job bills. Last session we had seven bills that would create 50,000 jobs over five years. Provide continued leadership to try and remove obstacles and provide certainty for business growth.

Rep. Kevin Cameron, HD19

B. PERS reform-work to get substantial reform to help keep more dollars in services. From 2009/10 to 2012/13, three years later Salem-Keizer School District cost of PERS has grown from $27,540,421 to $41,956,132 over a $14 million increase. Equivalent to 140 teacher positions @ $100,000 each. Additional education dollars have been redirected to cover expenses not related to classroom productivity and outcomes for our students.

C. Balance the budget without any new fees and/or taxes. Continue to fund education first so that our schools can make plans further in advance. 5. What do you see as other important issues? Follow-up with education reforms started the last two sessions. Review Criminal Justice Commission reconsolidation. Continue to work on re-entry issues to improve public safety. Monitor the Medical Transformation occurring, and put forth a realistic medical liability reform package. 6. How would you describe your political style or for judicial candidates, your judicial temperament? I am a fiscal conservative, but practical in finding solutions by listening and working with others. I have been placed in positions of leadership by my peers and the feedback I received from many sources helped me perform to move bi-partisan legislation through the process. Oregon achieved a working together result and I was honored to play a role in that process. 7. If you are an incumbent, what have you achieved during your current term? If you are not an incumbent, how have you prepared yourself for this position? As I described above, as House Republican Leader we worked with the Governor and others to balance the budget, and move forward some education reforms in a civil manner. I invited the Governor to our caucus to share our ideas and priorities and we treated him and others with civility and respect. There was a willingness to try and find common ground on many issues, although we did not feel that we made the needed progress on the jobs agenda that we put forward. We will work on it again next session. 8. What is the largest budget you have handled, and in what capacity? Besides the state budget, I have had restaurant management multi unit operations with over $15 million a year. As a small business owner, I have had to be accountable for as high as 4 million in budget, making sure all aspects of the business were running smoothly and operating. 9. What is the largest number of employees youve supervised, and in what capacity? In our business we had a peak of over 100 employees. I have always worked with others to delegate and lead. Before I was 30 years old I was responsible for training and development programs for over a 100 restaurants. Most of my adult life has been about helping and supporting others to grow and expand their potential to benefit those around them and themselves.

Rep. Kevin Cameron, HD19

10. Who is your role model for this office the person/people you would most like to emulate? Former House Speaker Larry Campbell and my long time mentor and business partner Keith Andler.

Measure 77, catastrophic disaster Measure 78, separation of powers Measure 79, real estate transfer taxes Measure 80, marijuana legalization Yes Yes Yes No

Measure 81, gillnetting ban No* *The governor has directed the implementation of Senator Girods concept legislation and if that it is put into action it would supersede M81. I am supportive of a practical solution. Measure 82, allows private casinos Measure 83, authorizes Wood Village casino Measure 84, eliminates inheritance tax No No Yes

Measure 85 shifts corporate kicker to K-12 schools No** **But I would support the measure if it put it into an education stability fund or general rainy day fund. In the 2007 session I voted to suspend the Corporate Kicker and put it in the rainy day fund.
