For DAHER, Stow developed a stateof-the-art storage systemin the Florides business unit at Marignane near Marseille. Work commenced on 4 October 2010 with completion on 23 February 2011. The warehouse covers a total surface area of no less than 44,000 m and is divided into 8 zones. DAHER opted for a well-conceived combination of three systems: Stow Pal-Rack pallet racking, cantilever racking for long items and the Stowshelf shelving system for small goods. The advantages of this combination are obvious. For certain pallet types, Pal-rack makes it possible to use turret trucks in very narrow aisles and with flexible order picking according to an automatic guiding system. For the handling of large pallets and bulky boxes, wide aisles withcantilever racking and multidirectional trucksare used. Stowshelf mesh shelves are fitted, below the pallet racking, to store unpalletized goods. A great variety of goods is handled at DAHER in Marignane. With this effective, customer-oriented combination, Stow conduced to the optimal picking of the differentiated in- and outgoing logistics flows. Why did DAHER choose Stow? The customers answer is brief and to the point: because this solution meets DAHERs high standards in respect of quality and efficiency.
