Part I
I am Mot. I am death. I exist. I am in a world. Worlds are in me. I am one. I am many. I am good. I am evil. I am everywhere. I am nowhere. I am the beginning. I am the end. I am all that was, is or ever shall be. Shama: Dont you see him? Dont you see him? Why dont you see him? Why does he haunt only me? Rose: I dont see him. I dont know why he haunts you. Does he talk to you? Shama: Not yet He just stares at me. His eyes are piercing. They go through me, as if he is looking at my soul. Rose: What does he look like? Shama: He wears a fully hooded black cape. Darkness follows him. He has black hair, with black piercing eyes. I hate his eyes! Dont look at me! Dont look at me! Rose: Shama, please be calm. Will him to go away. Shama: I cant. He comes when he wants, and goes when he wants. I have no control. I think hes leaving. He just fades until hes gone. Hes gone now. His eyes are the last to leave. Shama stares at Rose. Shama: You dont believe me! I know you dont believe me. You think Im crazy. Leave! Leave if you think Im crazy. Rose: I do believe you. I dont want to leave you. Shama: I wish you could see him, just once. Then you would believe me. No! Forget I said that. I would not wish that on you. Rose: Do you see only him, or others?

Shama: I see him and the little ones. Rose: The little ones? Shama: Yes. Sometimes there are little people at his side. They wear red fully hooded capes. I never see their faces. Rose: Shama, try to go to sleep. You have been awake too long. Shama: I cannot sleep. He comes to me even more frightening in my sleep. Whats worse, at those times, is that Im not sure if Im sleeping or awake. Rose: You have to try to sleep. Cant you take a sleeping pill? Shama: With sleeping pills, my sleep is even deeper. He becomes more alive the deeper I sleep. And therefore, much more frightening. Rose: How long has he been haunting you? Shama: About two months. I was afraid to tell anyone; out of fear they would think Im crazy. Rose: I dont think youre crazy. Why dont you try to talk to him? Maybe you can find out what he wants. Shama: Im afraid. Im afraid to talk to him, and Im afraid of finding out what he wants. Rose: If you find out what he wants, maybe hell leave when he gets it. Shama: Ill try. Im going to try to get some sleep. Rose: Very good, Shama. Well talk later. Shama: Speak to me! Tell me who you are! Tell me what you want! Mot: I am Mot. I see you are ready to talk to me. Shama: Why do you haunt me? Why must I have the good fortune to see you? Mot: You should feel privileged. Special. Most cannot see me. I want to prepare you. To help you. Shama: Prepare me for what? I dont want your help with anything. I want you to leave me alone!

Mot: Prepare you to assist me. I have once again chosen you to do my bidding. If you do my bidding again, you will be a free man. I need you to do my work on Earth. Rose: Shama! Shama! Wake up! Wake up! Shama slowly awakens Shama: Rose! Was I dreaming? Am I really awake? Rose: You are awake. You slept for about ten hours. You were very restless when I woke you. Shama: I spoke to him. His name is Mot. He wants me to assist him. I dont know how. He said that if I assist him I would be a free man. Rose: What does he want you to do? Shama: I dont know yet. He is evil. I fear him. His eyes His eyes alone can drive one insane. Rose: When you see him again you must find out what he wants. Shama: I will. I wish he would just go away. Why me? Why does he bother me? I dont know how long I can take this. I cant get him out of my mind. Rose: You must remain calm. You must attempt to do what he wants in order to be rid of him. Shama: Hes evil. What he wants me to do will also have to be evil. Rose: It may not be as bad as you imagine. Shama: See! You think Im imagining him. You dont believe this is really happening to me! You think Im insane! Rose: No! No! Im trying to help you. Im trying to help you be free of him. Next time you talk to him, also ask him where hes from. And Shama: Mot! Leave me alone! Leave me be! Mot: Look at me. Look at my eyes. Shama: No! Youre evil. Youre eyes are evil. Mot: What is evil? Shama: Evil is you. Evil is terror, destruction, and pain. Mot: Terror is in your mind. Destruction has to happen to construct. Pain is a great teacher.

Shama: You play with words to suit your evil nature. Mot: If a person dies, doesnt one see the death as bad, and one as good? The person of little faith sees death as final. The one of great faith sees the death as a new beginning, a freeing. So is it not in the way that you perceive things, that which determines what is good and what is evil? Shama: Youre confusing me, youre twisting things. At that moment Mot began to fadehis eyes last. Rose: Shama! Are you awake? I think you saw Mot again, and then you went unconscious. Shama: I did meet with him again. Hes playing with my mind. Yet when I spoke to him I felt that I knew him. I just fear that Im losing my mind. Again, why me? Why doesnt he go away? Rose: I wish I had answers for you. Did he tell you what he wanted, or where he was from? Shama: I didnt get to ask him those questions yet. I will. I am so tired. Rose: Why dont you try to eat? Shama: I cant. Rose: I dont want you to get weak. Have something to drink. Shama: I cant! Leave me alone! No. Im sorry. Please dont leave me. Rose: I will not leave. I care about you. Shama: Rose, what would I do without you. No one knows me like you. All my family and friends left me. You are the only one who cares. Rose: I care very much about you. I just want you to be healthy and safe. I dont want you terrified by Mot. Shama: I believe you. Please give me some water. Shama drinks some water. Looks at Rose. Shama: Thank you. Is it time to sleep already? Rose: Yes Shama. Dont you have any conception of time?

Shama: Yes. I have two times. Time with you and time with him. Rose: Get some sleep. Youre making progress. Try; just try to find out who he is and where hes from. Shama: Okay. Im very tired Very tired Mot: Shama! Shama! Come to me Shama. Shama: Mot. Who are you? Mot: I am the Lord of Death. But you shouldnt fear me. Shama: Where are you from and who are the little ones? Mot: I am from everywhere and nowhere. The little ones are my helpers. Shama: Everywhere and nowhere? What does that mean? Helpers? What are they? Mot: You ask a lot of questions. Everywhere and nowhere? You figure it out. My helpers assist me in this dimension. I need you to assist me on Earth. Shama: Lord of Death! Why should I help you? Mot: To be free. Look into my eyes. See that I am sincere. Shama: Your eyes are evil. You are evil. Mot: What is evil? Shama: I am not playing your games. Leave me alone! Bother someone else. Mot: I have chosen you again. You have an essence of what you call, evil. Shama: I am not evil! I am a good man. Mot: That is what all, so-called good men, say. Why do you think youre a good man? What have you done that has been so good? Shama: I have not done evil. Mot: No? In your mind, you never wished someone dead? You never felt lust, greed, and envy? Isnt the conscious mind the planter of the seed into the subconscious mind field? Doesnt the subconscious mind field manifest your so-called evil thoughts? And sometimes doing nothing when youre supposed to do something is evil. So, how can you be good?

Shama: Thoughts are not real. What I think is not the same as what I do. Mot: Its not? Shama: Youre twisting things again. Mot: Youre hiding from the truth. Shama: This is not the truth! Mot: You know it is. You know I speak the truth. And, did you not already kill in this world? Shama: I would never! Mot: Hiding from the truth again? Rose: Shama! Shama! Wake up! Wake up! Shama! Shama awakens in a sweat and looks at Rose. Shama: Rose, take me from here. Please, take me from here. Rose: I cannot. Did he tell you who he is? Where hes from? What he wants? Shama: He says hes the Lord of Death. Thats all I know Rose, did I ever kill anyone? Rose: Well talk about that later. Shama: What do you mean? Answer the question. Did I kill someone? Rose: Shama, you must focus on the present, not the past. Shama: What do you mean? What are you not telling me? Rose: Shama, this is too much for you. Lets focus on Mot. Not the past. Shama: Must you as well as Mot drive me crazy? Did I do something terrible in the past? Tell me! Rose: They accused you of murder. Shama: Why dont I remember? Tell me Rose! Rose: You dont want to know. Maybe thats why Mot is here. Shama: How did you know he was here? Rose: You were talking in your sleep. Shama: Tell me of my past.

Rose: Not yet. Ask him what he wants. When he tells you, Ill tell you of your past. Shama: Are you not telling me for my own good? Rose: Yes. Shama calms down. Shama: Okay. I trust you, Rose. No one else. Please, dont ever leave me. He is the devil. Rose: Im sure hes not. Shama: He is Shama falls asleep. Mot: Good morning, Shama. Shama: Am I dreaming or am I awake? Mot: Whats the difference? Do you know the difference? When you say youre awake, are you? And who are you? Who is it that says, I am? Is it Shama? A name you call yourself. What is your self? Shama: I am Shama! Me, myself, I. The sounding board of all my experiences. Mot: And when you experience, who is the self that experiences? Shama? Shama: I am Shama! I will continue, endure Mot: Who continues? Shama? Shama: No. My essence. The core of my being. Mot: Does this core exist now? Shama: Of course. Mot: Are you aware of this core? Shama: Of course. Mot: No youre not. Your core would know that you are evil. Shama: I am not evil! Mot: You are. Shama: Im not! Go away! You are evil! Rose: Shama. Shama woke quickly, panicked. He looked around, saw Rose and calmed down a little.

Shama: Rose, please shoot me. Give me drugs so that I may leave this horrible existence. Rose: I will not. Shama: Do I have to slit my own wrists? Hang myself? Rose: What does he want? Shama: I dont know. Rose: When you find out you may be able to do what he wants and be rid of him for good. Shama: Before I see him again, please tell me what happened in my past. Rose: People accused you of murder. They thought you were insane. Shama: Who are they? Rose: The public. Shama: Did I do it? Rose: Yes. But you are not insane. Mot was in your life back then. He made you do it. It was about two years ago. I thought, after the murders, that he had left your life for good. Obviously hes back and we need to know why. Shama: Who did I kill? Rose: Your parents, your wife and fifty-two other people. Shama: I killed my family and fifty-two other people, and you say Im not insane. If I did that, I do not deserve to live. I am a monster. Mot is right. Why do you stay with me? Rose: I dont believe youre insane or a monster. I truly believe Mot made you do it. Shama: Why cant I remember? If I killed all those people dont you think Id remember? Rose: I dont think you want to remember. Shama: Then when Mot tells me Im evil, hes right. Rose: No, no. He drove you to it. He took over your mind. Hes the real killer. You have to try and find out what he wants now. Maybe we can defeat him, or drive him away for good. Shama: I cant believe any of this! What was my wife like?

Rose: She was beautiful. She had long red hair and a slim figure. She was a very gentle woman. Shama: She looked like you. Even Mot couldnt get me to do such a thing. I dont believe this. I dont believe you, Rose. Rose: Its true. Shama: Why am I not in prison? Rose: They had found you insane. They put you under my care. Shama: Then you are a doctor? Why dont I remember any of my past? Rose: I am a doctor. Im trying to help you remember your past. Im also trying to rid you of Mot. Shama: If I did kill, what if he wants me to kill again? Rose: We have to try and trick him into leaving you. I will have to think of a way. Shama: Next time Ill try to get him to tell me what he wants. Sometimes I feel I am insane. However, most of the time when Im with you, I feel calm. Rose: Thats because you trust me. And you should. Please eat. Shama: I cant. Ill try later. Sometimes I have so much energy and power and sometimes Im totally exhausted. Rose: Youre exhausted most of the time, because you do not eat. Shama: Be my doctor. Help me. Dont be my mother. Rose: As your doctor I want you to eat and be strong. Shama: Later. Im tired. Rose: Then take a nap. Well talk later. Mot: Shama. Come talk to me. Shama. Are you lost in the world of dreams? Shama: What do you want from me? Mot: I want you to kill again. Remove souls from the Earth. Shama: No! If I did that before it was your fault. Deep down Im not that kind of person.

Mot: Of course you are. Remember our conversation last time? You still believe in heaven? Shama: Yes. Mot: Well, when we kill we take people out of misery and suffering and free them to go to heaven. This is a good thing. Why should people suffer? The Earth is a planet filled with evil. A planet without values. Shama: No. Youre wrong! There are plenty of good people on Earth. Most people are good. Mot: What is good? Shama: Stop that. Mot: I will make your mind right once you promise to kill again. If you do this for me again, I will set you free and leave you alone forever. Shama: I would like that. But I dont even remember killing the last time. Mot: You killed your parents in their home, and then you took an automatic weapon and went to find your wife. You found her at the beach, killed her and then fifty-two others. Men, women and children. See it now After Mot spoke Shama went into a trance and relived everything that had happened that day.

Part II
Shama: Rose? Rose? Rose: Im here Shama. Are you okay? Shama: I know what Mot wants. I also know what I did. Shama starts crying hysterically. Rose: Shama, please stop. I told you, it was not your fault. Mot forced you like hes trying to do now. Shama: Yes, but he says hell fix my mind and set me free if I kill again. Rose: You must not agree. We need to find another way to get rid of him. Shama: He said hed leave me alone forever. Rose: Shama! You killed your parents and your wife! You killed fifty-two innocent people including children. Doesnt that bother you? Shama: Of course it bothers me. But I feel my only choices are to either kill again, or kill myself. Rose: No, Shama. There must be another way. We will think of something. Please be strong. Eat for me. Shama: I cannot eat. How can you talk to me about food when all this is happening? Rose: As your doctor I want you to eat and be strong. Shama: Ill eat later. Im tired. Rose: When youre weak your mind is more susceptible to what Mot tells you. If youre strong you can fight him, while we think of something. Okay, take a nap. Well talk later. Mot: Shama. Come talk to me. Shama. Are you lost in the world of dreams? Shama, dont you hear me?

Shama looks up and sees Mot. Mot: Ah! Shama dont you hear everyday about suffering, wars, poverty, crime, famine, disease, pain? Dont you want to rid people of this suffering and set them free? At the same time youll set yourself free. I will leave you forever. Shama: Killing is wrong. Mot: Youve killed before. Shama: Rose told me it was your fault. That you made me do it. Mot: Who is Rose? Shama: Shes my doctor. She said you were the evil behind what I did. Mot: You know Shama, when the blind lead the blind they end up in the abyss. She will lead you to more torment; I will set you free. Shama: Rose is my friend, you are my enemy. Mot: Youre wrong Shama. Dont you feel strong when you talk to me? Shama: Sometimes. Mot: Thats because I give you power, not Rose. Maybe I should speak with Rose. Shama: No! You leave her alone! Mot: Maybe Rose will do what you now fear. Maybe Rose is more brave and in need of freedom. Shama: No! No! If you go near her I will kill us both. Mot: Then I would have to go elsewhere. There are plenty more like you. Shama: Leave Rose alone and Ill do whatever you want. Mot: Now you are becoming the real Shama. You will be well soon. You are to leave the place where you are. Go to any place that you can obtain knives. I then want you to go to the nearest church where I want you to kill as many people you can. A priest or nun must be included. It must be knives. It must be bloody. Shama: When will this happen? Mot: Soon, Shama, soon.

Shama: After I do this I will never see or hear you again? Mot: Never. Shama: And you will never bother Rose? Mot: Never. Shama: Will you be with me when I do this. Mot: Of course!

Part III
Rose: Shama wake up! Wake up! Shama: Rose, I have to do what Mot wants. I have to do it soon. Rose: What does he want you to do? Shama: He wants me to kill again. He will give me the power to leave here. Rose: No Shama! This is wrong. We have to think of something together. We have to get rid of him so that you dont have to kill again. Shama: He said I would be free of him forever. I would no longer be tormented. Rose: Do you think that after killing again you will be free of torment? Youre wrong. Hes lying. Shama: I cant go on like this, and if I dont do what he says he will go after you. Rose: Shama! Do not fear that he will come after me. I have a confession. I was with you two years ago. I was experimenting with the occult and conjured Mot. You were weak then. On the verge of a nervous breakdown. You were losing your job. You had unpaid bills. There was a chance of you losing your home. You were fighting with your wife, and your parents wouldnt give you the money you needed, even though they had plenty. Mot seems able to communicate with the weak in spirit only. So Shama, Mots presence is my fault and; therefore, I think its my responsibility to get rid of him before he causes more death and destruction. I never dreamed I would actually be successful with conjuring.

Shama: Rose, why didnt you tell me this before? Rose: I was afraid you would hate me. Shama: I would never hate you. Why were we together two years ago? Rose: You were my patient. Your wife thought you were definitely having a nervous breakdown. Shama: What can we do? If you used magic or witchcraft to conjure him, why cant you do the same to get rid of him? Rose: You may have something there. You look tired. Sleep. Ill do some research. If Mot contacts you again tell him you need more time before you kill again. Shama: Okay Rose. Shama falls into a deep sleep. Rose lights four candles on the floor, which form a large square. Within the square is a circle with a pentagram in the middle. Rose: Come, all spirits! By the power of your King Satan. All spirits of Hell are commanded to appear in my presence and bring to me the spirit of Baals sister Anath, terrible maiden goddess of love and of war. I conjure and command you, by the power of Him who is eternal. Rose looked in fear as a spirit form began to manifest in front of her. Anath: Who is it that disturbs me? Rose: Anath. I have summoned you because I know you seek you dead brothers murderer, Mot. Anath: I seek him forever. His life means death and sterility. His death means life and fertility. Unfortunately, every time I kill him, which brings life back to my brother Baal, it also brings back life to Mot. Rose: When you kill him where does he go? Anath: He will go back home to hell, until he revives. Rose points to Shama. Rose: He is in Shamas mind, thoughts and dreams. Anath: Not for long. Anath vaporizes and moves toward Shama.

Mot: Shama. Are you ready? Shama: I need more time. Mot: There is no time. You must act now! Anath: Mot, we meet again. Mot: Anath! How did you find me? You cant keep doing this to me. Anath: Its the only way to allow my brother to live. You shouldnt have killed him. Now death, its time to die again. Anath materializes an axe and swings it at Mot chopping his head clear off. Mots body, along with all the bodies of his little friends in red, vaporizes in front of Shamas eyes. Anath: You will be free of him now. Get healthy and stay close to the light. He will not bother you anymore. With that Anath disappears. Shama awakens. Shama: Rose. What did you do? Someone named Anath came into my dream and killed Mot. Rose: Mot originally killed Baal, Anaths brother. She hunts him for eternity. Mot brings death, Anath brings life. How do you feel? Shama: I feel great. I feel as if the world has been taken off my shoulders. Jim opens the cell door, puts the tray of food down on the little table next to the bed. He walks out and locks the cell door. Sherry: Whos that? Jim: His name is Bill Swenton. He went wacko about two years ago. Went to his parents house and beat them to death. He then took his fathers automatic weapon, found his wife Rose, a psychiatrist, at the beach and killed her along with fifty-two other people. Men, women and children. When they caught him, he said his name was Shama and that an evil spirit named Mot made him do it. Sherry: Why isnt he in maximum? Jim: Hes harmless. He just sits in his cell talking to himself day and night. Sleeps sometimes, hardly eats.

Sherry: Wow! The Twinkies made me do it. The devil made me do it. People just cant accept responsibility for their actions nowadays. Jim: Isnt that the truth.
