AY 2012/13
Mission
To tailor a scheme that is fair and able to retain deserving residents. To tailor a scheme which is transparent and accountable to the residents. To tailor a scheme which is consistent with the objectives and missions of the Hall.
Our Motivation
To improve upon the previous KEIPS To recognize the different workloads between the various CCAs in hall To allow residents to plan their engagement or participation in the halls activities.
Execution of KEIPS
KEIPS will be presented to all residents before CCA Fair. Residents will be educated on the motivations and objectives of the system. Residents can do a preliminary calculation as to their KEIPS points given the guidelines. When KEIPS is implemented, the list of residents with their points will be made known to the whole hall to ensure transparency and accountability.

Objectives:
To be a fair and objective system for re-admission. To retain deserving residents to stay in the hall. To provide support for the peaks of excellence and KE VII Hall specific CCAs.
KEIPS Framework
A points system Prerequisite to be fulfilled in order to qualify under KEIPS. A total of 235 residents (including masters list) are to be re-admitted at the end of each academic year (AY). Residents with the most CCA points and who have also fulfilled the prerequisite will be selected. All JCRC members will be automatically re-admitted unless they have been ruled as not performing their duties by the SCRC.

(must attain average performance points for respective CCA to qualify)
KE Media* Overseas Community Involvement Project (OCIP) Sports - IHG Welcoming & orientation committee (KEWOC) XQRJ main committee
*Includes various sub-committees Reasons: These are CCAs which define the hall and what KE VII Hall wants to promote.

If a member makes one appearance in a performance throughout the entire year, that member is eligible for 2 Performance Points Subsequent appearances in the rest of performances throughout the AY will make that member eligible for more points on top of the 2 Performance Points (refer to the table)

Decide based on achievement criteria in the following order: Leadership role in the Hall (Block head, vice-chairman, etc) Winner in competition or special award Total performance based points
After exhausting the above and if it is still a tie, then a ballot will be conducted.
Appeal Process
Maximum attendance points and performance for each CCA is subjected to change with the approval of JCRC and SCRC CCA leaders may propose to increase the points of their CCAs through an appeal process. CCA leaders who wish to do so are to submit a proposal to the JCRC to justify their appeal by a stipulated deadline Late submissions will not be entertained

Notes
For SEP students, the KEIPS points obtained from 1 semester in hall will be doubled. However, the KEIPS points will not be doubled for Room Draw. CCAs which end after the Points submission deadline will be awarded points based on projection
CCA Leaders
Up to Additional 8 points (4 + 4) can be given for each CCA head and his/her vice head. 4 points will be based on evaluation by the SCRC 4 points will be based on evaluation by the JCRC CCA leaders can award themselves up to the full performance points and are not subjected to the member quota.
Masters List
Those who are unable to secure a place in hall through KEIPS may apply through the Masters List There will be 50 spaces for Masters List. Usually the JCRC will can suggest up to around 40 spaces while Master will hold on to the remaining 10 spaces Applicants are to submit an application form with 2 recommendation letters attached to it Shortlisted applicants will go through an interview process and be notified when his/her application is successful

Remarks
The KEIPS is subjected to further amendments and refinements, pending endorsement by the SCRC Constructive feedback from residents is highly encouraged to challenge any point or item in the presented RAS, raise any questions, concerns, misgivings, or objections, and propose changes, alternatives, and refinements.
