Narrative Script Husaria Studios: The Age of Enlightenment (1700 -1800) Short Animation Draft 01 A story by: Anastasis

s Ntinopoulos, Kadeem Molyneaux, Magda Karbowska. Act 1 Scene 1 Camera Still The curtains of the stage are closed. The lights turn on and the curtains open. Clouds appear (they swing in the stage). God and Adam swing in the stage. They get close each other by swinging. (Their fingers touch like Michelangelos painting The creation of God.) Clouds disappear by swinging off the stage and planets swing in replacing the clouds. Scene 2 A telescope extends in front of the stage to see the stars and the planets. (Middle of the stage) Act 2 Scene 1 Camera from telescope pans down. The stars as it pans down disappear. Scene 2 A piano swings in the stage with a religious pope playing music. (Back left) As music from the piano is being played Isaac Newton pops out in the stage (on the right) and starts talking. Mathematical equations come out in a speech balloon. An apple falls to Newtons head. He stops talking and his face changes to an expression of excitement. The piano music stops. Scene 3

Isaac Newton and the piano with the pope disappear. The apple is left on the stage. Act 3 Scene 1 The apple is on the stage. As the apple has fallen down it has split up. As it splits up a book is revealed inside the apple. The book gets out and rises up. The books title is Spirit of Laws. As the book stops moving from rising up we hear a crowd of people getting excited. Scene 2 The book turns around and disappears. The apple rejoins together and continues to fall down. Act 4 Scene 1 Camera pans down. The apple keeps falling. As the camera has panned down we see a line of people gathered in a row pulling a metal string of a Leyden jar. As the string is being pulled they get electroshocked. Their face gets an expression of excitement. Act 5 Scene 1 Camera pans down. The stage is empty. Suddenly the stage gets filled up with clouds of steam. Scene 2 As the steam clears in the back of the stage a steam engine is working. (The steam clouds are being produced by the steam engine) As the steam engine works Gabriel Fahrenheit pops out. (Right side on the stage) Gabriel Fahrenheit holds a big thermometer which indicates a high level of temperature due to the steam that was produced.

Act 6 Scene 1 Camera pans down. A stick is being extended on the top of the stage. As the stick extends it rolls down and a scroll is being revealed. On the scroll is being written with bold letters Social Contract. When the scroll is being rolled down we hear a crowd of people getting excited. Act 7 Scene 1 Camera pans down. A bottle and a needle appear from the side of the stage. As the needles tube is getting filled up with the liquid from the bottle people / soldiers from the French Revolution invade the place. The needle and the bottle are being pulled from the people / soldiers from the French Revolution. Scene 2 The people from the French revolution walk across the stage and they disappear. As they disappear dust is being left on the stage. Act 8 Scene 1 As the dust clears out we see people gathered including a pope in the stage together in a horizontal line. Above the peoples head there are light bulbs. (Except from the popes head) Scene 2 As the people are gathered the pope is talking and as he talks the apple that kept falling from the previous scene (Act 1 Scene 2) falls in his head. The pope stops talking and the light bulbs above the peoples head are lightened up. Suddenly a piano falls in the popes head. (The piano that he was previously playing in Act 2 Scene 2)

The light bulbs that were lightened up above the peoples head explode and turn into fireworks. The stage is being filled with fireworks. The curtains close The end.
