BREATHER VALVES IN STAINLESS STEEL AND HIGH NICKEL ALLOYS

This AVAL range was developed to satisfy demands for breather valves to perform under highly corrosive conditions. The modular welded body design, initially available in such high nickel alloys as Hastelloy , has since also been applied to a series of stainless steel valves. In addition to their relatively low cost, the breather valves include short delivery times; an infinite variety of models and sizes, flanges and ratings; and the ready availability of steam jacketing if required. Two breather valve ranges are available, the 200 Series and the 400 Series. An optional extra with the 200 series is an advanced dynamic seat sealing system that has been developed for use on the pressure side, using pressure from the tank itself to maintain bubble-tight shut-off at all times up to 10% below the valve set pressure. The pallet design limits overpressure, giving a blowdown of 5% below set pressure, and with most of the load taken by contact between the pallet and the seat ring, diaphragm wear is minimized. This is most important on valves with high set pressures. The 400 Series Valves are manufactured to meet the latest ATEX requirements.
