Waiting on the Lord is not the same thing as waiting for God. God
wants us to wait on him and not wait for Him. Many a times we do
nothing claiming that we are waiting for God. God does not want us to
be idle doing nothing. Thessalonians 3:10 says, “If a man will not work,
he shall not eat”. Waiting on God means, “To keep yourself busy doing
good and helping others”. Doing whatever you are inspired to do to
contribute to the growth of God’s kingdom while you are waiting to
receive instruction or direction from Him.
When a car runs low on fuel, it is taken to the fuel station for a refill.
Waiting on god, takes us to the very presence of God where we are
refilled with the power and glory of God, and then our strength is
renewed and we are refreshed.
Acts 4:31
“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled
together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the
word of God with boldness.”
The apostle where all in one place waiting on God, and as they prayed
they were all filled afresh with the power of God! They received more
strength to continue the word of the gospel despite all the persecutions
they were facing.
Whenever you feel like giving up then it’s time to go back to your source
(God), and receive a fresh anointing.
In these last days many believers are going to fall by the way side, by if
we make it our habit of going to God’s presence on a regular basis, He
will keep make us strong and uphold us whenever we feel weary. The
words on the lips of everyone are “credit crunch”. So much negativity is
going around. Fear has grip the nation as many do not know what the
future holds for them. This is the time to look up to God, keeping your
focus Jesus, whom is “the author and the finisher of our faith” –
Hebrews 12:2. Then the Lord will cause you to mount up with wings like
eagles. He will take you to new heights, while many are sinking you will
be soaring!
