His precious blood, the sinners perfect plea. Verse 3 It tells me what my Father has in store For evry day, and though I tread A gloomy path, yields sunshine all the way. Verse 4 It tells of One whose loving heart, Can feel my deepest woe, Who in each sorrow bears a part, That none can bear below.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; Chorus and in his law doth he meditate day O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, and night. 3And he shall be like a tree O how I love Jesus, because He first loved me. planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; Verse 2 It tells me of a Saviors love who died his leaf also shall not wither; and To set me free, it tells me of whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Walmart Boycott Update
Here in Illinois, workers at a Walmart warehouse in Elwood went on strike to protest working conditions and retaliation at their facility. In early October, they were joined in their protest by faith and community groups, including Trinitarians. On October 6, after striking for 21 days, they returned to work, with full back pay, and a victory in their fight against retaliation. One worker, Ted Ledwa said, With this victory, we forced the company to respect our rights. We showed that when workers are united we can stand up to the biggest corporations in the world and win. While this is progress, the fight is far from over. We at Trinity UCC must continue our boycott of Walmart, as they are an example of much of the worst of corporate America, where profits come before people. We boycott because: Walmart supports Voter Suppression! Walmart is a leading funder of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), one of the organizations on the forefront in supporting voter ID laws. A full-time Walmart associate earns less than 70% of the federal poverty level for a family of four 80% of Walmart products are manufactured in China Walmart is devastating to small business: One study showed that sales at local businesses dropped 17% when a Walmart opened, and in rural areas, sales dropped 61% Walmart has over 650,000 employees with no health insurance they cost the U.S. an estimated $1 billion per year subsidizing low wage benefits Walmart actively lobbies against Equal Pay for Women, and while they employ over 800,000 female associates, they earned an average of just $8.81/hour as recently as 2010 Walmart claims to be a job provider, but the fact is that in areas where a store is built, overall retail employment drops 2.7%! We need to continue our boycott, no, expand our boycott, until they become a corporation that aligns with our theology of caring for . . . The least of these - His children.

Guest Bio
with Teddy Brown, the son of the Godfather of Soul James Brown. Tragically, Teddy was killed in a car accident and, in the months that followed his passing, James Brown took Rev. Sharpton in as though he was his own and they developed an inexplicable bond. Rev. Sharpton was shaped by his surrogate father, Mr. Brown, who taught him, You cant set your sights on nothing little; you got to go for the whole hog. Rev. Sharpton is the host of PoliticsNation on MSNBC that analyzes the top political and social news of the day featuring the countrys leading newsmakers. He also hosts a nationally syndicated radio show Keepin it Real that is heard daily all over the country, and two local New York radio shows. Typically Rev. Sharpton delivers live remarks at NANs weekly Saturday Rally at NANs Harlem headquarters - the House of Justice which is broadcast live on NANs website www. nationalactionnetwork.net every Saturday. National Action Network, under Rev. Sharptons leadership, takes pride in being the most active social justice organization in the country and President Obama said it candidly in his keynote address at NANs 20th anniversary Keepers of the Dream Awards Dinner, that National Action Network is not the National Satisfaction Network, it is the National Action Network, highlighting that Action is what Rev. Sharpton and NAN are about. Rev. Sharpton is a champion for human rights and is passionate about the key issues that involve confronting human rights violations. One of his career highlights has been contributing to the end of the United States Navy exercises in Vieques, Puerto Rico, which proved to be poisoning the environment on the island. Rev. Sharpton says his religious convictions are the basis for his life and on most Sundays he preaches to congregations across the nation. Rev. Sharpton has two daughters from his marriage to Kathy Jordan Sharpton, Dominique and Ashley.
of the National Action Network (NAN), a not-for-profit civil rights organization headquartered in Harlem, New York, with over 47 Chapters nationwide. Born on October 3, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, Rev. Sharpton began his ministry at the tender age of four, preaching his first sermon at Washington Temple Church of God in Christ in Brooklyn. Just five years later, the Washington Temple churchs legendary Bishop F.D. Washington licensed Al Sharpton, his protg, to be a Pentecostal minister. Rev. Sharpton was educated in New York public schools and attended Brooklyn College. He has an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from BethuneCookman University and an honorary degree from A.P. Bible College. Rev. Sharptons civil rights career began almost as early as his ministry. At thirteen, Revs. Jesse Jackson and William Jones appointed Sharpton youth director of New Yorks SCLC Operation Breadbasket, an organization founded by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1971. At the age of sixteen, Sharpton founded the National Youth Movement, Inc. which organized young people around the country to push for increased voter registration, cultural awareness, and job training programs. It was at that time that he forged a friendship

2012 Trinity UCC Theme Walking, Talking and Living Our Faith, Ephesians 4 (NLT)
January Ephesians 4:1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. February Ephesians 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each others faults because of your love. March Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. April Ephesians 4:4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. May Ephesians 4:5-6 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all. June Ephesians 4:7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. July Ephesians 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. August Ephesians 4:12 Their responsibility is to equip Gods people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. September Ephesians 4:13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of Gods Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. October Ephesians 4:14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We wont be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. November Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. December Ephesians 31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
