The statement I AM means the eternal one. The Lord Jesus directed people to Himself because He was and is the solution for their needs. He also presented Himself as somebody we should know and accept to be the authoritative person when He initiated the I AM sayings. Jesus knew and admitted that He is what He says and thinks. What He said and thought did not originate from the minds of other people. Since Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God, then these "I AMs" should be taken very seriously than any sayings of the apostles and prophets.

At the burning bush encounter, Moses asked God whom should he say that is sending him to free the Israelite people. And God told him to say that I AM has sent you. This reference to I AM is the name of God of the patriarchs. The entire form may be presented as I am who I am, I will be who I will be, or I cause to be what is. The Gospel of John presents a clear picture of Jesus Christ, and His work. In addition, John's gospel presents Jesus Christ, as The Son of God. Therefore, He Is Divine!
